After watching Star King several times, I have to express how much I'm attracted to 꼬마신기 just like I adore their hyungs. They're actually a group of kids impersonating the Dong Bangs in this talent show; in which only one contestant (individual/group) will win the grand prize. They're called Kko Ma Shin Ki in Hangul whereby kko ma means kid literally. This means they're also know as mini DBSK.

Though the kids didn't win, they have created much hype among Dong Bang fans including me ^^. Believe it or not, these young ones are too adorable to resist. Now if you look them up in YouTube, I'm sure there're plenty of fan-subbed videos on that particular Star King episode. Anyways, I made some screencaps from the show which features both 동방신기 and 꼬마신기 taking pics together. See how much the kiddies resemble their hyungs. Uber cuteness~ *squee*

I was surfing YouTube earlier today & came upon 2 videos of the same Korean girl doing covers of Mariah Carey's songs. I have to admit - she has an exceptionally good voice. As in...SUPERB! You guys should watch it & see for yourselves. Apparently she hasn't debut yet so there wasn't much info about her yet. Here are the links to her video & be prepared to be mesmerised.

Guess what, I passed all my exams... *squee* Kyaaaaa!!!! Haha, I couldn't be bothered about how I did. Most importantly, I cleared all the subjects in the previous semester XD. Since there're only 6 subjects for Year 2 left, I only took 4 subjects for the coming semester. My holidays are coming to an end & it's time to work like mad again *sighs*. Wish me well, ppl!

*yawns* Gah~ So sleepy...btw, this pic of Yunho is too sexy that it NEEDS to be shared. Drool on, gals! XD *giggles* Okay, I'm done for tonight.

edit:
Here are the piccies that I promised to post up. Enjoy! ^^

Lovely earrings, aren't they? ^^

Okay, these are the only things I bought for myself. Call me a hopeless shopper *nods* cuz I dunno what else to buy. The things are sooo expensive T.T. Whatever it is, the next set of pics are only me, ME & ONLY ME! :D Hahahaha.

My new hairstyle! :D

P.S.: Excuse the lame t-shirt. It's my old school t-shirt XD.

-------------------------------------------------------

Hello everyone!! I'm back~ *dances* Did y'all miss me?? XD Basically, there wasn't much about the trip. Like I mentioned earlier, it's more like a shopping trip rather than a vacation. Besides, who said Singapore is a place for sightseeing? Anyways, the trip turned out good & bad. Probably one of the worse trip I've experienced. I was so unfortunate to get food poisoning on my 2nd day in Singapore. Yes, SINGAPORE!!! Everything in that country; including food should be squeaky clean (or at least better than Malaysia). It turned out to be otherwise for my case -_-".

I only ate seafood noodle at this restaurant in Suntec City Mall & the problem started there. How would you feel when you couldn't stop puking while on the journey back to JB? Gross, I know. I puked almost everywhere. Taxi. In the toilet. Bus. You name it...The experience was awful~ T.T And I couldn't help but cried out cuz it was pretty embarrassing. But what can I do? *runs to the corner & weep*

When I arrived at JB, my uncle rushed me to the clinic. Guess what? The nurses were unwiling to register me in since it was already late at night. Thank God my uncle knew the doctor really well so the nurses had no choice but let me in. To my surprise, the doc doesn't use paper at all. All he did was scribble notes on his WACOM pad while I told him my problems. Wow! Even doctors working in PJ hospitals don't use that thing XD. Okay, I feel like a jakun -_-". What's even more shocking is that doc is a big fan of Korean dramas. o_O Bwuh? I've never seen such a sentimental guy before. This is definitely an eye-opener. How did I find out? Aiyah, my uncle lent to him my aunt's collection of Korean DVDs lor...

I feel much better now so don't worry too much ^^. Hmm, I supposed the lack of sleep pretty much worsen my sickness. Meanwhile, I'm trying to shy away from seafood. Ugh, bad memories. Lol. Gah, I've missed my chance to eat the famous abalone noodle that my family is boasting about. I think I'm the only one left who hasn't tried it. Oh well, there's always other time. Other memorable moments like my grandma falling down is priceless XD. Haha, it sounds mean for laughing at her but she was too careless. She tried stepping up the escalator when it's meant to go down. I'm speechless... -_-"

Not all things turned out bad after all. I managed to buy 2 pairs of beautiful earrings & souvenirs for Jen & Fatimah. Tsk, tsk...I'll give you gals in uni XD. Sadly, I didn't shop much but it was pretty fun window shopping & enjoying the moments of drooling over stuffs that I can never afford to buy. Perhaps when I start working ^^. Though I kinda regret not buying a pair of Converse shoes (about RM80+); after further coaxing from my cousin bro - I thought maybe I should go to Singapore again end of this year for another shopping trip. That's the best time to go cuz there'll be a BIG sale :D.

Will be back to edit this post with piccies but don't expect lots of them. There wasn't much to snap & plus, me ain't got a camera. I'll definitely take a pic of myself. Why? I did something to my hair XD. Don't be shocked...

Dear ppl, I'll be away for 3 days as I'm heading off to JB then to Singapore for a holiday. Hmm, not exactly a holiday but more like a shopping trip. Geez...I sounded as if I had plenty of moolah to go for a shopping spree. Anyways, just like I mentioned in the previous post; I'll be back on May 1. Perhaps you'll only see updates the following day cuz I'll be tired out after an exhausting journey.

I wanted to bring along my lappie but changed my mind. My uncle's house doesn't have any Internet which means it's pretty much pointless to bring the lappie there. Unless I wanna try out my luck by navigating around the house for any potential WiFi signal nearby. But what's the likeliness of the neighbourhood having Internet connection; not to mention a WiFi router?

And I assure that I'll be freggin' lazy to blog neways even if there's Internet cuz it'll be tiring like hell to travel back & forth from JB to Singapore. I'm not rich la....that's why I tumpang ppl's house lor. Okay, okay. Enough of rubbish talk here -_-". I need to get some sleep. Take care, peeps! Be good while I'm gone ^^.

Finally, I made up my mind to order the Death Note DVD box set. Phew! *sweats* I can't wait for it to arrive at my doorstep XD. Hmm, the package would probably take about 2 weeks or more to reach my house. Oh never mind...I'll be back before it comes. Ah before I forget, I'll be on a hiatus for umm, 3-4 days. I'm heading off to JB & then Singapore ^^. Don't be surprised if you don't see any updates. Hehe.

As promised, I went to college to help out my buddies in Music Club to paint banners. The Talent Nite event is coming up so my guy friends are busy preparing all the necessary stuff. Painting the banners weren't really fun, imho. Imagine squatting/sitting on a giant piece of fabric & ocassionally shifting uncomfortably just to get the perfect position so that you don't end up with sore legs later. Nevertheless, it was fun to meet up with my buddies. It's not like I miss them A LOT as I'll be seeing their faces again in a week's time. But ya know, the joy of working hard together & sharing lame jokes more than make up for the uncomfortable sessions. Awww...so emo liao XD.

Later in the evening, I drove sis to tuition while Grandma went for grocery shopping. While waiting, I saw a couple from the Middle East walking by the street with a baby pram. The sight of the wife draped in black from top to toe made me ponder a lot. What if she turns out to be a drop-dead gorgeous woman? Isn't it a pity that she can't flaunt her beauty & not afraid to hide her imperfections i.e. be proud of her looks which God bestowed upon her? I felt that her culture has stripped off her freedom. Not to mention the danger of walking without having clear sight of the path ahead. That lady covered the face until below the nose & I'm very sure; there weren't any holes for her eyes. Think about it, there're still such traditional acts practiced in this modern world. *sighs*

When I was browsing Yahoo! Movies, this page caught my eyes...

HD Movie Trailers!!

Sweet~ I quickly downloaded the Quicktime player to stream the videos. And then waited for the video to load.

1 min, loading...

2 mins, still loading...

5 mins, -_-"

10 mins, *gives up*

Curse the stupid connection. *goes to bed*

I was & still contemplating on whether I should go ahead to order the Death Note DVD Complete Set. It's a Korean version - limited edition which includes Korean, English & Japanese subtitles. Since it's a limited one, expect the box packaging to be gorgeous (yummy, I would say... XD). What's more, Taewon Entertainment is the distributor for this movie in Korea. Definitely lots of goodies in this DVD box set. Just in case you guys didn't know, Taewon Entertainment was the one who distributed 동반신기's 1st Live Concert: Rising Sun DVD. And trust me, the packaging & booklet is full of shiny-ness ^^.

It's not like I have insufficient funds to purchase it but I was planning to save up some money for their upcoming concert. And I intended to get a WiFi router in order to ease my trouble of occupying my cousin's or aunt's room to use the net. Fyi, my room only has 1 network cable at the moment which means I have no chance to get connected if my sis is hogging the desktop to download her mangas. Now you know why I'm in a dilemma right now -_-". I bet you guys didn't know that I already spent lots of moolah on Dong Bang's 2nd Japan concert goods XD. As usual, I only bought 2 items. But that's besides the point...I want more money so that I can save up more~

I'm sure y'all are pretty curious about the content of the box set. Here they are! Tell me, who can resist such a beautiful box set...

Ta-daa!!! Lさんはすごくかっこいいでしょう!

*runs off to Ambank to deposit money into the prepaid credit card* XD

Kyaaaaaa!!!!! It has been more than a week I last posted in this blog. Pretty long hiatus, eh? Well, I was busy preparing for exams especially subjects which are mind-blogging & energy-draining like Law which require more attention. Law paper was a total disaster T.T. If only I'd done better :-(. MKT232 turned out to be pretty easy; perhaps it was all thanks to the lecturer's last minute answers to the revision paper which was rather helpful. Statistics was a tad too difficult & the worst part is...I panicked~ Yes, indeed -_-". I shouldn't have so at least I could've done better calculations to get more accurate figures. *sighs* Oh well, it's over. No point lamenting over it, rite?

I have about two weeks holidays before my new semester starts. Oh boy! I'm moving on to the 4th semester. How time flies...guess what? My little cousin bro will be joining my college to pursue A Levels. Lets give him a warm welcome, shall we? *claps* I wish him all the best in his next level of education. Hopefully he gets really wacky friends who can joke as well he does & enjoy his college years in Inti College while it lasts.

Alrighty, the good news is...my dear baby is back. *nods* Yup, yup. My lappie is back from the HP clinic & it's running perfectly fine now. Apparently the keyboard & system board were faulty. The technician replaced the faulty parts without any charges since my unit is still under warranty. The weird thing now is my lappie no longer boots up with a Compaq logo but a HP logo instead. I had a feeling they replaced the system board with a HP one which I assumed is also compatible with my lappie. In addition, the lappie can boot up from power off mode by just tapping gently on the DVD Play touch button. This means it's not necessary to press the power button anymore. I still prefer the old setting though this feature can be pretty useful. I mean, it gets annoying when a finger accidentally brushed lightly on the touch button then the lappie boots up.

After the hardware replacement, it seems my Vista required re-activation to validate its status - either genuine or not. I tried several times to validate the product key underneath the lappie but failed. Hmm, I wonder why...did you know that if I don't validate soon; Vista will only allow me to use with very limted functions. Ack! I better work out something fast asap.

Sunday, April 15, 2007

What the hell?! Just when my laptop turns 1 month old yesterday, it decided to fail on me T.T. I was using it to surf the net before dinner & it was working perfectly fine. Right after dinner, Vista couldn't start up properly. In addition to that, there's a loud sound coming from the speakers. Error messages kept popping up stating that the startup file has a problem. Since Vista is designed to have a self-repair tool, it began detecting the source of the error & trying to fix it at the same time.

Unfortunately, the Vista tool couldn't detect the problem & so I had to restart again. The same loud sound appeared & Vista wouldn't boot up unless I press ctrl+alt+del. After bypassing the boot up, Vista seems to be working perfectly fine. That's weird -_-". I thought maybe the error file can be fixed if I reinstall everything using the recovery CD. The system recovery indeed wiped out all the files which does not belong to Vista & then went through a clean install. Guess what? The same problem came up - the loud sound & startup error. Imagine how pissed I was & it was already 1.30am when the formatting & installation was completed.

So, I decided to try again by formatting the laptop. This time, I chose the factory reset option in which also clears off the files & undergo a clean installation. Honestly, I can't see the difference between system recovery & factory reset since both have similar functions. Tough luck it seems. That annoying sound & start up problem still persist -_-". Grrrr!!!!! It got more serious now that one of my keys are not functioning properly. I can't press the left-shift key+period (.) to get this symbol ---> (>). That symbol only works when I use the right-shift key+period (.)

This is so nerve-wrecking!! *slumps on the floor* Why does this problem has to happen when I'm gonna sit for exams??? It makes me feel so worried about the lappie. Ack~ I'm sending the lappie to HP Service Centre on Tuesday. Other than stupid sound & startup, there ain't other problems. If yes, I wouldn't be using the lappie to blog this...right?

*jumps gleefully* My mock job interview turned out to be better than I expected. Thank goodness I did my homework last night ^^. You couldn't imagine how nervous I was cuz apparently, the lecturer assigned to be my interviewer is a witty person. What's more, I only found out late last night that the blouse I intend to wear for the interview had one missing button. I was frantically searching for a suitable button to match the rest of it. The button still looked odd compared to the rest, though not obvious.

Gah! What's with all the trouble? So I decided to bring along my blazer to cover up just in case. Besides, I didn't mind dressing a full suit as I'm applying for a job in the banking sector. But then again, it was a little awkward to dress with such formality cuz I was the only one doing so. Everything's over now so who cares ^^. Since I promised Fatimah to study Statistics together, I waited until her turn is over before we headed for lunch. She came out of the interview room feeling devastated as she stuttered a lot. It seemed her bubbly nature couldn't do much help this time. Hmm, hopefully she's not too bother about it.

When we were dining at Asia Cafe, our guy friends came to join us. Too bad I missed their funny faces when they descended from Asia Pool while waving happily at Fatimah. Where was I? In the toilet lah~ Guess what we saw when one of Kenneth's friend came. We were shrieking & squealing away (yes, it's embarrassing XD) when he took out his red hot sexy mama...

Tadaa! It's the Vodafone 903SH~

The screen can twist like this...

This is the phone model that I've been dying to see ever since I laid eyes on the pics posted by some owners on lowyat.net forum. And so my dream came true XD. We couldn't stop drooling & fondling over its sexiness. Kenneth's friend stared blankly at us & probably quite worried that we might end up vandalising his phone & breaking it into pieces. Haha! Just joking...he was nice enough to let us doodle around with the camera.

I was about to try out the UI when an sms came in. Dang! Being a nice girl, I handed back the phone to Kenneth instead of pressing the button to read the message. It's other person's phone lah. How can I read?? Duh~ *sighs* I could've explored the UI & start admiring again & again. Don't blame me for being such a jakun XD. Tell me, how often do you see exotic phones like this in Malaysia? If only we can easily obtain unlocked version of Japanese cellphones...with that, I can die of happiness XD.

This is a random thought. Kenneth's friend (the dude with the 903SH) does resemble 松山ケンイチ (Ken'ichi Matsuyama). The actor who portrayed L in the Death Note movie, in case you're oblivious about his name. The only difference is he's got black hair while Kenneth's friend is blonde. What a coincidence XD. Studying in uni's library is definitely a no-no for me. Especially during exam periods when the library becomes overcrowded & noisy. Home is still the best place for me to do whatever I want ^^.

Oh yeah, another random moment. Some guy who was standing behind where me & Fatimah were seated actually farted at our direction. Thank God there wasn't any foul smell -_-". Yes, indeed. I was trying my best to hold my laughter while Fatimah - unable to control herself - buried her face in her hands & started cracking. Look, I don't mean to embarrass him but he could've been more courteous & walk to the gents immediately. *shakes head* I'm speechless...

Pride & Prejudice

Monday, April 09, 2007

After watching the movie Pride & Prejudice starring Keira Knightley as Elizabeth Bennet, I couldn't help feeling curious about the novel & decided to google about it. All this while, I'm aware that the book of similar title was written by the renowned Jane Austen who also wrote Sense & Sensibility. Surprised I was when I found out that the book was written in the 1800s! No wonder the language is so rich & refined.

The story is pretty interesting as it highlights on Mr Darcy's pride, Elizabeth Bennet's prejudice towards him & how it led to conflicts which prevented them from confessing their love for each other. Sad to say, I found the movie quite a rush as it struggled to keep up with the time frame in the novel & compressed it into a solid 2 hour film. It would make more sense to read the book to capture the full details of the story & fill up the gaps left by the movie.

Nevertheless, I was impressed that the movie managed to keep me entertained all the time. It doesn't matter if the pace was too fast. The simplicity is good enough for me to fully grasp the story. I love the show, really! Y'all should watch it ^^. Warning: Not recommended to audiences who dislike romantic movies.

*breathes* Okay, I think I'm gonna settle for a D for HRM & a C for Law, I hope. Lets not speak of me failing the Law paper. Thinking about it makes me feel hopeless. I managed to answer sufficiently for HRM test (I think) but I'd probably get a huge X for one of the questions. So that means losing one big chunk of marks worthy of a better grade T.T. When I sat for a replacement test for Law trial test (in which I deliberately skipped yesterday), I found myself having difficulties to answer well. The words from the lecturer, "It's okay if you can't complete it but I expect that you do better in the exam" is not making me feel any better. I could see the look on his face implying that, "Hey girl, you're so gonna fail my paper with such short answers in the paper". Oh God, I'm so lost...

Heck! Why on earth grandma had to lose her purse on the day when I was super anxious about my HRM test?? What a timing~ It's frustrating cuz I had to rush back home - make a phone call to cancel her credit card, get my wallet which I forgot to bring & rushed to college to start revising for the test. Nerve-wrecking, I tell ya. Not even a single thing went well yesterday & today. I'm so glad the weekend is coming...at least there's some time to ease my worries.

So, I've decided that I won't hit any books tonight cuz it's time for relaxation. There're so many videos that I've been missing out for past few weeks. I'm off for a downloading spree & catching up with the remaining Goong S episodes. Good gracious! The series already ended last month & I'm still stuck at Episode 14 -_-".

Wednesday, April 04, 2007

Wee! I got the highest marks in class for MKT232 test~ ^^ Feeling rather happy for the day before I face my worst fears tomorrow. It's the last HRM test & I'm done with the subject. The grades will only be released next semester.

I'll keep this post short for today. Ain't got much to blog about besides the good marks for MKT232 test. It's just a trial test anyway...and the marks are not included in the coursework. Dang! In fact, I shouldn't be too happy cuz I'm not really prepared for the exam. Okay, I'm off to study HRM. Toodles~ ^^

Monday, April 02, 2007

Never in my life have I experienced such an awful Ceng Beng Festival. First, we arrived at 7.30am - which was rather late & ended up getting ourselves caught in a traffic jam for 1/2 hour about 500m from the cemetery entrance. As soon as we got parkings, we quickly rushed to great grandma's tombstone & carry on with the prayings. Then, the sky turned gloomy within minutes showing signs of a heavy downpour. Being so naive, we thought the weather was pretty okay since the hot morning sun was blocked.

I decided to accompany Grandpa at the pondok cuz he couldn't walk to our greatgrandpa's grave. The rest of my family went instead. Guess what, it started raining cats & dogs through the whole morning -_-". When my family came to look for me & Grandpa, my cousin bro was soaking wet cuz there weren't enough umbrellas. We waited there for about an hour until the rest of them settle their work. After that, we left for lunch at a coffeeshop somewhere in Rawang.

We always have a meetup with the rest of the family every year at this coffeeshop after visiting our ancestors' graves. Initially, it was due to convenience since all of us would be hungry by then. Somehow we have come to fancy the shop's cooking especially their famous fish paste wrapped in bean curd sheets (fu chok). That's why we always return to the shop without fail every year. Honestly, I'm not a big fan of fu chok & I never eat them whenever my Grandma cooks it. But the cook in that shop managed to make it surprisingly good - making me craving for more. It's intriguing how tasty food can make someone like me to go ga-ga over it though I hated it previously ^^. Basically, I only eat the fu chok fish paste from that shop & not anywhere else. Not surprising, huh?

After lunch, we headed straight home & I immediately jumped to bed to rest. Other than rushing for assignments, there wasn't much time to do other things. Ah, Mum will be arriving from Shanghai soon. Hmm I wonder what she bought there. *shrugs* Life is just another ordinary day...

Saturday, March 31, 2007

I couldn't help bursting into laughter after I read a post in the 동방신기 LJ comm. Apparently, some forumers or perhaps Korean fans who have nothing else better to do; hence decided to polish up their Photoshop skills. I bet you wouldn't expect how the pictures turned out to be. They did a fusion style - combining the Dong Bang boys with FFVII: AC characters. *dies*

Those of you who had no idea what FF is...well, it's time you listen up. It's Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, a fully CGI animated film released about 2-3 years ago. Speaking of the movie, I haven't even sit down & watch the whole show myself though I've seen certain scenes of the movie when my sis was watching it back then. Ack! I'm so slow... -_-" A so-called FF fan, eh?

So ppl, get ready to be mesmerised (or dumbfounded for those who knew FF & Dong Bangs well XD) by the amazing skills of these nothing-else-better-to-do ppl who decide to make our Dong Bang boys into umm, heroes videogame characters. I did a comparison to show how much edited ones differ from the original. Enjoy~

When HP came to my college yesterday promote its brand new HP Pavilion TX1000 Entertainment Notebook PC, I was more eager to check out their freebies instead of the notebook. Can't blame, I've just got my baby recently so I don't see a point to browse at notebooks again. Besides, I love my baby to bits~ XD Anyways, the freebie is a plushie toy cum phone strap. It's really adorable that's why I had to get it so badly.

Getting the freebie was really simple. All we had to do was to name the notebook model in which HP was promoting at that moment. Isn't that easy?? Duh! To be honest, the emcee just wanted to hype up the atmostphere by telling every respondent to scream at the mic. And so I got myself one red plushie & started flailing over it XD. But then, a friend of mine requested for 4 plushies. Surprisingly, the emcee agreed on one condition - we (the 4 of us) need to yell the answer at the top of our lungs. Being typical Malaysians (who loves anything free), we agreed. All we did was screamed HP PAVILION TX1000!!!!! I bet everyone in the concourse became momentarily deaf after the loud noise.

Each of us got 4 plushies as promised. It seemed the girl at the freebies booth was bewildered when we went to collect our plushies. Haha~ Of course, I had to show you how cute these little things are. Here they are...

One big, happy family!

The intense stare from the left & right...*shivers*

Eek!!

Even though yesterday's journey to college was a rough one, it didn't matter anymore after having these plushies. After all, they cheered up my so-called awful day. On the other hand, I felt evil for taking too many plushies. Well, I guess nobody can say a thing now since they're already in my hands XD. Call me greedy for all you want...

Tuesday, March 27, 2007

Of all days, my grandpa's car decided to break down this afternoon...about 30 mins before I left for uni. The battery died for good -_-". For the first time, I had to take a cab to uni cuz I was in a hurry. What's more, my aunt couldn't leave the office & arrive home on time to fetch me. Grandma got me a cab & off I went.

Unfortunately, the cabbie was as talkative as ever; insisting on taking the NPE route to Subang instead of Federal Highway. But I chose Federal Highway though there was traffic jam. Heck, as if I dunno that he wanna earn more by taking the further route. Who's so dumb to deliberately turn around & travel to one end; then travel back to the other end of the road? So free, meh?? -_-" Look, he was kind enough to share tips on avoiding cheating cabbies. But most of the time, I was praying hard that he'll stop complaining about the jam. Sheesh~

So, I arrived at uni safe & sound at the cost of RM8.90. Yes, it's expensive but considered cheap when compared to cabbies who doesn't charge according to the metre device. It would've cost more if I got on to a taxi without insisting the use of metres. I'm glad that I wasn't ripped off, after all. *phew*

It seemed all the unfortunate events came one after another. I was supposed to bring something for Statistics class later. Indeed, I have totally forgotten about that. To add on to my blurness, I was mumbling in between my pau lunch - trying to figure out the word linear programming in Malay cuz I remembered learning it back in high school (in which I found out within mins that it's called pengaturcaraan linear) - yet still ignorant about THAT item. I was also telling myself that we're gonna draw GRAPHS today! XD

Management class ended an hour early so me & Teema headed off to Starbucks to chill out. Note that there's a stationery shop next to Starbucks. You have no idea how I ignorant was about the need to bring something to class later. It was only after I entered Statistics class & saw Wilson holding pieces of graph paper...*gasps* AHHH!!! GRAPH PAPERS!!! How can I forget them?! Me & Teema rushed to buy them while reminding other classmates on the way. Everyone forgot about them -_-".

It was a waste of money to pay RM1.90 since I already had a graph book. Oh well, I left it at home so nothing can be done. Blame it on my forgetful habits. What an eventful day today! Btw, I couldn't help but kept on laughing with cousin bro about my stupidity while on the way home. Lo & behold, the blurness~ XD

Friday, March 23, 2007

I reckoned the long hols last year really had an effect on my presentation skills. My skills have degraded over the holidays -_-". Hence, I sucked at my group's presentation yesterday. There weren't much presentation this semester since most of the subjects are exam based, hence the lack of practice. But still, I could've done much better T.T

I've got MKT assignment due this Friday & MGT's (cover letter & resume) due on April 2. Dang! I won't be at home for the whole day on April 1 cuz it's Ceng Beng Festival. Can you believe it that our group hasn't started working on the MKT report yet? Even the survey forms are not completely filled in yet...*sighs* the extreme procrastination among the members XD.

My sis went to Genting earlier today for her Editorial Board trip. She'll be back by tomorrow. Hmm, she seemed to be enjoying herself very much. *envy* She bought chocolates from the factory too. Eh? Chocolate factory in Genting?! I shall ask her. On the other hand, Mum will be flying to Shanghai tomorrow night. The flight is at 12am; should I say the flight is on Sunday? Gah~ Whatever...

I'm expecting souvenirs from Mum & sis XD. Yes, I'm evil & greedy. I was thinking of asking Mum to get boots for me. Ack! I bet she can't find my size cuz my feet is much smaller than hers. Perhaps she can get a pair for my sis. *sighs* Why can't my feet grow any bigger??

This year is definitely one of the best birthday in my life *grins*. I have friends giving me presents which are practical & useful; Dad buying a brand new toy for me just in time for my bday XD. The toy is not just a toy, okay...it's for convenience & to assist my work in uni. I treated it as a bday pressie. That's why I didn't having a big bday event since it's so expensive. Anyways, here are the piccies of all my gifts. I love you, guys!! *muaks*

My early birthday present from Enya!

Assorted birthday cakes~ Cuz my teammates couldn't decide what I like

A cute bottle from Jen! XD She thought I seriously need a new one...(honestly, I do XD. but I failed in getting one -_-)

Kit Ming gave me this puzzle to satisfy my daily obsession XD It's a pity the pic wasn't Dong Bang's best shot T.T

*hugs Wira* Thanks for this wonderful CD. It DOES come in handy...

Last but not least...

The most expensive gift~My dream laptop...*grins*

I'm so happy...
今私がもっと幸せでしょう!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! YES, IT'S MY BIRTHDAY~ I'M A BIG, BIG GIRL NOW XD

Tsk, tsk...I'm like a grown up woman stuck in a teenager's body -_-"

Anyways, more updates on bday celebration later. Tata! ^^

2 more days!!! And I'm "officially" legal XD. Gosh, I'm getting older again -_-". Time passes by so fast, don't y'all think so? In a few months or so, it'll be the end of 2007. Hmm, lets not talk about that. Speaking of my birthday, I'm definitely not planning a big bday bash. Initially, I intended to do so since this year marks the end of my youth & the start of adulthood. Of course, young adult lah. But I didn't bother pondering about how the party should turn out. I spent most of my time on assignments, assignments & assignments (a little fangirling session in between XD). When March came, I realised I was so occupied that I totally neglected my initial plan. Hence, I decided to ditch the idea. After all, the party is gonna cost pretty much & I didn't wanna burden my parents.

Anyways, my so-called birthday gift just came in this afternoon. In case y'all couldn't remember, I pre-ordered 東方神起's Five in the Black album weeks ago. Yeah, it's weird to buy bday gifts for yourselves but that's what I've been doing for the past 2 years just to please myself. Yeah, yeah...call me a miserable loser for all you want. I haven't been celebrating my bday for ages. So, can't you see I'm desperate for presents?? XD Well, the album which Enya gave me was totally unexpected. It's too nice of her to buy the Heart, Mind and Soul for me. It's so expensive & yet she bought it! To Enya, I said this a lot but I wanna say it again. Thanks a million for the present!

Will be posting up the pics of the new album later since I'm using my lappie now. Yup, I'm using my new "baby" to blog now. Piccies of my "baby" will be up soon as well. I bet y'all will turn green seeing it XD. Nyahahaha, j/k. It's just too beautiful cuz of the glossy surface. The boo-boo part is the surface attracts thumbprints like a magnet. I have to constantly wipe it with a lint cloth & keep my fingers sparkly clean. That's the price to pay for choosing a ultra shiny lappie. *sighs*

I'm off to read up my journals for HRM. The assignment is due on Thursday & I haven't started anything. *smacks on the head* Somebody pls kick me...

Tuesday, March 13, 2007

I really need to blog about what happened to me today. Why? Because I think God has bestowed lots of luck upon me XD. Okay, okay...it's not that dramatic. But I was really, really lucky. I mean it! REALLY LUCKY~

To be honest, I was stupid enough for not realising that I lost my thumbdrive until this morning. I knew that it was missing from my pencil case since last night but I didn't bother too much about it. Strange, eh? I thought the thumbdrive was lying on the table somewhere in which I failed to notice with my sleepy eyes that time.

I only came to my senses today that my thumbdrive is seriously no where to be found. While trying to get hold of my still-asleep sis through the phone, I was frantically searching for it & rummaging through my bag. Still, there's no sign of my precious possession. I sat limply on the chair trying to accept the painful truth that my good ol' thumbdrive is gone. Forever.

Next, I felt like kicking myself for being so careless & worse...oblivious about the missing object. Kept blaming myself for not taking good care of the thumbdrive which contains SPSS files, assignments...Wait, a min! SPSS?? Ah yessss, I was accessing the SPSS files in my thumbdrive in class yesterday. *thinking bulb lights up* OMG, IT'S IN THE COMPUTER LAB!!!

Without further delay, I dashed out of the campus ground & off to the computer lab. There it was...still at the same spot where I left it. *phew* It was still attached to the USB port like this.

I'm extremely surprised that nobody took it cuz I left it attached to the port for 1 night. I mean, anyone could've just taken it & claim it as their own. That's why I said luck has been all over me today. Whoever it was who saw my thumbdrive but decided not to steal it truly deserves my respect. I really appreciate his/her great deeds & yes, I'll be very cautious this time. Speaking of which I'll be carrying my newly bought laptop around soon which requires 110% care & attention. Nyahahaha, it's a surprise! I shall speak no more of it until I have my hands on it. Till then~ ^^

Boo~ Someone beat my fastest time for the word search game. I'm not even in the 2nd place either -_-". That means no Parker pen for me T.T. The two girls who're leading now are pretty good, though. Kudos to the both of them *claps*. Basically, the music festival ended on a silent note. Not too hyped as we all expected. What's more, the AUP Society were celebrating St. Patrick's Day yesterday. More people are involved with it instead. Nevertheless, it was a good try for Music Club to organise such an event. Hopefully things will work out better in the future.

The TVfXQ Malaysian FC gathering which kept me anticipated for the past 2 weeks turned out to be pretty interesting. It's still not the best gathering by far cuz it was kinda disorganised. The venue wasn't sufficient to accomodate hundreds of members. Imagine having a party with 100 people in McDonalds, Section 14. Despite the mess, it was fun to meet so many people who are equally enthusiastic about the Dong Bangs. And I met a new friend there as well ^^.

Enya came for the later part of the gathering after rushing from college. Meanwhile, Fatimah who was so eager to go couldn't make it at the last minute. It could've been more fun if she was there cuz besides Enya, I felt awkward as I dunno any of the members. The rest of the girls seemed to be talking among their own friends, unwilling to get acquainted with newbies like me -_-". And they don't look inviting enough for me to approach them & start introducing myself. They'd probably give me a stare as if something's stuck on my face. It's kinda sad, really...

The least you could expect from a FC gathering is to bump into your ex-schoolmate. *nods* I bumped into saw my ex-schoolmate cum junior from high school. She was my junior in Girl Guides back then. At first, I could barely recognised her cuz she had longer hair than before. I didn't dare to chat up with her cuz she wouldn't recognise me anyways. Besides, we weren't very close back then. *shrugs*

Alrite, enough talking about ppl at the gathering. New members get to receive freebies for joining the club. This is what I collected that day: FC t-shirt, stickers & a mass printed autographed poster. Honestly, the poster is beautiful. Though the autographs doesn't feel special anymore since it's mass printed, it's better than nothing rite XD. I'll most likely post up piccies in the next post. Now if I'm lucky enough to win an autographed poster from Japan for the new album purchase, I can die anytime. Opps, joking but I'll be sooooooo happy ^^. Apparently HMV is running a campaign rite now. I hope I got my Japanese right about the campaign. No posters, nvm. Got postcard also good liao...

According to Saimon-san from 98.8FM, TVXQ has been topping the charts for more than 10 weeks. If confirmed, the news will informed to SM & then reported in Korean news. Just to be sure, I went to the 98.8FM site to check out. They're not at the top of the chart but still staying strong in the top 10. I'm starting to doubt that DJ's statement but we'll see what happens. Someone will probably put the videos to the news if it's true.

Nyahaahha I'm currently the record holder as the fastest player in the word search game. Just in case y'all didn't know, Music Club is currently organising a music festival in college. The word search game is one of the exciting activities planned besides the Dance Dance Revolution game.

And so...I managed to complete the word search puzzle at 2:01. Yes, 2 mins 1 sec!! I beat the previous record holder by 1 min 20+ secs. *laughs hysterically* XD Lets see whether there's anyone who can beat my time. If not, I'll receive a Parker pen as the prize. Not too bad, eh? ^^.

The festival will end on Friday. Based on the feedback from the my friends in the committee, the response for the festival wasn't as good as expected. It's depressing but hopefully things will improve while the event lasts. I'll keep it short for today & get on with my assignments. *sighs* They're pilling up again like mountains...-_-"

I failed my HRM test... T.T

Give me a moment to regain my composure.

*runs off to the corner to weep*

I should've expected this since I didn't study much for it anyways. My last chance to do well is in Test 2. Sheesh, I lost mood to blog already. That's all for today. I've got lots of assignments to catch up. *drops dead*

Monday, March 05, 2007

Pardon me for the lack of updates. I've been quite busy and lazy at the same time XD. Anyways, I WAS SUPPOSED TO go to Lee Hom's concert last night. But I had no choice but let go the tickets offered by my aunt's company. It's a RM263 ticket!! T.T It's all thanks to the authorities insisting to close down Stadium Merdeka for restoration. What a last minute decision~ -_-" And due to that, the concert was postponed to a day later which falls on Chap Goh Mei. Speaking of coincidence, eh? I shouldn't be too upset anyway since Lee Hom is not my ultimate fandom BUT STILL...*slumps onto the floor in a depressing state*

What's even more depressing & nerve-wrecking is that I couldn't find a perfect laptop suit my requirements. Or should I say my desire. Either the unit is pretty powerful but enclosed with a ugly chassis design. And then a prettily designed one is only great because it looks good. Wait till I tell you about the worst part. Most shops, in fact most manufacturers are starting to phase out their units pre-installed with Windows XP. To me, they're like indirectly forcing customers to buy Vista units -_-". Vista is pretty buggy at the moment & I really don't have the guts to use it. *sighs* I should've bought a lappie earlier...

Well, at least this little souvenir from Japan managed to cheer me up a little. My aunt & cousin sis just came back from Chicago en route to Tokyo for a holiday. Gah! I'm so jealous~ I wanna go to Japan so badly T.T. Anyways, my aunt bought mochi for us to munch. Mochi tastes like marshmallow cuz of it's bouncy texture. There seem to be some sweet feelings inside too. Here's the pic.

Lovely wrapping, don't you think? ^^

Mochi~~ Kyaaaaa!!

P/S: I ordered Five in the Black & just paid for TVfXQ Malaysian FC membership fees. I'm such a big spender, ne? XD

I saw a really interesting documentary yesterday. It's How Did They Do It? on Discovery Channel which showcases various industries in certain countries & the processes involved. One of the segment was about manufacturing pencils & the company referred to was Faber-Castell *nudges Jen* XD. I wouldn't have known how pencils were made if the filming wasn't done. It was rather unusual to see how graphite is turned into lead, inserted in between 2 pieces of wood glued together, cut, shaped, paint & then finally sharpen before being packed. The best part is no single piece of wood is put to waste as it's fully utilised to make as much pencils as possible without any leftover bits. Speaking of efficiency & eco-friendliness, eh? ^^

I've got happy news for this week. First, I finally met up with my online friend whom I knew through the Dong Bang LJ comm. It was really nice of her to invite me over for CNY. You can say that we had an awesomely great time rattling & fangirling away like nobody's business XD. And she's more of an avid Dong Bang fan compared to me *envious*. I mean, look at her collections. Wow~ I was truly overwhelmed. Besides the fangirling part, I got an extra angpau too ^^. Secondly, she gave me an early birthday present & insisted that I opened it right away. Oh boy, you wouldn't believe what was inside the wrapper. This was what she gave me...

東方神起's Heart, Mind and Soul album!

A CD+DVD galore~ XD

Mind you, the album is a Japanese version which costs a whopping RM100++. Thank you sooo much, Enya! *bows* Now my next target would be the 2nd Japanese album due on March 14. Kyaaa...I really can't wait for it XD. The title is Five in the Black, ppl! Anyone care to give it to me as present?? Omg, I'm so demanding -_-". Just joking...I'm gonna get it myself. * runs off to pre-order*

Wednesday, February 21, 2007

Weeee!! I'm back, ppl! I'm back yo~ ^^ Kyaaaa...back to civilisation XD. Pardon me for being so exhilarated. Being a net addict myself, it's normal that I feel deprived for not able to surf the net for a few days. The trip was okay. Nothing much though cuz I didn't do anything special besides visiting relatives & collecting ang paus. Initially, I intended to catch a movie in the cinema with my sis. Perhaps Death Note 2: The Last Name or Ghost Rider if I could get tickets. But upon seeing the endless traffic jam in front of Jaya Jusco, I was immediately put off & went home instead.

Well, my days spent in Ipoh wasn't all that boring cuz I got the chance to lay my hands on my cuzzie bro's Nintendo Wii. It was hilarious playing games in that console as I got really worked up & sweating all the way. Half the time I was worried that my sweaty palms might lose grip of the wireless controller & send it flying towards the TV screen XD. Don't call me paranoid cuz it did happen to other gamers. Basically, the console is great for ppl like me who hates being under the sun. And I spared some time to watch my Goong dvd set. There wasn't much time left for assignments cuz I was already exhausted. And noisy kids were rather distracting -_-".

Dad decided to cut short the trip by a day earlier. I'm glad that he did cuz me & sis were getting really bored. Besides, coming home early is a good way to avoid the jam. Which means I have an extra day to work on drafts for assignments. I had plans with my group members to meet up on Friday. Yes, it's really sad to gather during hols for assignments. Sucks! Btw, I just found out the Rising Sun dvd concert came with this...

Now you see it...

Now you don't...

The photos were printed on a sorta semi-transparent film & will only reveal when a white paper is placed behind it. I don't think my pics show the difference well. Too bad -_-". The box cover is pretty cool though I didn't fancy the colour coordination that much. Love those high flying jumps ^^.

Forgive me for the poorly taken pics~

P/S: I seriously need a new digital camera...

Sunday, February 18, 2007

Hip, hip hooray!! My package is finally here. Yes, FINALLY! After a long 3 weeks wait, it came yesterday evening. I didn't even realise the the package was here until I saw an unusual big brown box on top of the concrete wall at the gate. Haha, if only you could see how delighted I was. I was practically jumping, skipping & dancing all the way back into the house while clutching the box XD.

It should've arrived long ago but I ain't got any ideas why the post office kept hold of it. It was shipped on Jan 20 & was released by customs on Jan 24. And I only got it yesterday -_-". Without further delays, I quickly unwrapped the box. The dvd box design is fantastic as usual...just like the All About 東方神起. I couldn't contain my excitement & waited till everyone slept then only started watching it. I've already finished watching the concert but not disc 2 yet. The concert was awesome, just like the Malaysian one. A good way to refresh my memories of the concert last year. The only bad thing about this dvd concert is that the camera angles were pretty lousy. It's hard to explain unless you watch it for yourselves.

I shall keep this post short cuz I'm really sleepy right now. Most importantly, I would like to wish you all Happy Chinese New Year. I'll be on a hiatus for errr...4 days, I think. This means I won't be at home so don't expect to see me online. Of course, I'll try my best to stay connected cuz I still need to do my assignments. Yeah, it sucks big time to do projects in the midst of a celebration. Whatever it is...take care ppl! Will keep y'all posted asap ^^. Ciao!

Wednesday, February 14, 2007

Valentine's Day was just another ordinary day for me since I didn't have anyone special to celebrate with. I don't have many single friends who're willing to spare some time while one of them was busy hosting the CNY event. Besides, staying back after a 2 hour class just for the sake of commemorating couples' day is definitely a bad idea. At least that's what I thought so. I went home immediately cuz I needed some sleep. I'm deprived, as always -_-".

Though my family (known for being unromantic) didn't consider today as a hoo-haa day, I had some fair share of chocolates from my aunt. Not like I ate them anyway cuz they're too pretty to be eaten. Aunt told me the chocolates are freggin' sweet. Overly sweet stuff is awesomely bad...so all I did was admire it XD.

Seriously, who eats these chocolates??? I couldn't bring myself to take one & pop it into my mouth. What about you?

Monday, February 12, 2007

What do you do when you're the first to arrive & ended up sitting in a table dominated by couples? Basically, there's nothing much you can do except to sit & "stone" there. And most of the time I was dreading about staying on at the party while praying hard for my classmates to turn up soon enough.

The party wasn't bad, after all. It's just that...the couples will eventually talk among themselves leaving the singles behind. What's more, I'm not really close to those people which makes it even more difficult to engage in a conversation with them. Sad to say, I'm more of an introvert so don't blame me for not being able to socialise well. *sighs* I feel like a hopeless example of a Marketing student -_-".

The food wasn't great but decent & nice. There weren't much variety to choose from but considering the crowd that turned up, I supposed the food was more than sufficient. Besides, it's better not to have too much leftovers. I kinda liked the fried fish fillet minus the Thai flavouring on top it. After that, we had a toast of red wine & proceeded with several rounds of Twister game. I couldn't be bothered about playing cuz it's definitely a physical-stressed game. You'll be getting numbs all over the body when the game ends. Of course, I wouldn't wanna get involved. Excuse me! I got class tomorrow...who wants to attend college with sores from top to toe.

I have to say this...the cake was lovely. The name is Chocolate Indulgence from Secret Recipe. Hmm, I might consider getting this cake for my birthday XD. Finally, the party ended but I was the last to leave. People like me don't have a car to drive lah, that's why. And Dad has to come all the way from PJ to fetch me. Well, I'm glad that I got invited for the party. Gosh, I haven't been to parties for ages. When was the last time, neways? *scratches head*

edit: Wat the...?! My package still hasn't arrive yet T.T. It's been more than 2 weeks. Grrrr!!

------------------------------

I found another link to the PopJam fancam vid~ XD This vid shows more of the choreography though mainly focussed on Yunho.

More reasons to drool over the boys... *grins* Oh boy, how can I not buy the 3rd Japanese album which will release on March 14?? The CD+DVD has all their PVs from Rising Sun (Japanese version) to Choosey Lover. Definitely the perfect present for my 21st birthday. Anyone willing to buy for me? XD

[FANCAM] Choosey Lover PopJam performance

Management class on Thursday was a funny one for our gang. Somehow, we managed to cheat our way out & leave the class early. Jen already posted up an awesome write-up about the incident in her blog. I shall link it up for y'all to read. Take note of "The Rescuer" *rofl*.

Click the link below:
and we present...

P/S: I've got a birthday party to attend tomorrow! ^^

Grrr~ Pirated software annoys the hell out of me especially when the patch doesn't work at all. I bought an SPSS cd for only RM5. Stupid me for being so naive that cheap software would work with the given patch. After endless rounds of installing & unstalling, I couldn't crack that damn software to function properly. Lets just say it doesn't allow me to edit my output nor add text to it. *curses*

So I decided to borrow from my friend since his one works perfectly. It turned out to be...THE SAME!! OMG~ *dies* I seriously need the SPSS to practise T.T. I already gave up installing. Perhaps I'll try it later after reading my HRM notes. I'm supposed to start studying for next week's test. Yet I'm procrastinating -_-". Somebody pls smack me.

As I promised, I brought piccies ^^. And a link to Choosey Lover PopJam performance. The dance is super sexy XD. If only the fancam video is clearer. Who says fancams are crisps clear neways? And I see some Jaeho moments in there XD. Haha, it's actually about Jaejoong who almost bumped into Yunho during the performance. Jae touched Yunho lightly on the back just to notify him. I really can't wait for the PV to release. Meanwhile, enjoy the video ^^.

Goong DVD set

Shoes! ^^

Sunday, February 04, 2007

Boo-hoo! I didn't cut my hair at all -_-". The salon was so crowded yesterday with customers waiting to get their hair washed, cut, permed, dyed & etc. I got fed up of waiting & decided to stop by at Jaya for lunch. After that, I returned to the salon again to check out. Seems like the crowd is never ending. Off I went to Digital Mall with sis while Mum went for her dance practice. Guess what I bought there...

I bought Goong dvd set!!! XD I know, I know. I'm crazy but I couldn't help downloading it anymore. The torrent wasn't working at all for the past few weeks. Just when Bittorent decides to function, the seeders had remove the video files due to copyright infringement. Dang! After all my patience of downloading & waiting, I still failed to complete the drama. *sighs* The good news is the dvd set is licensed & distributed by a local company. This means it's much cheaper than the original Korean set. Can you believe that my box set is sold at RM200++ in YesAsia while mine was only RM143.90 after discount? The transport cost is crazy!!

Earlier today, I went for CNY shopping at Mid Valley. Felt kinda surprised that I finished shopping all the clothes I want within 3 hours. Much shorter than I usually do ^^. I didn't have to hunt for any shoes this time cuz I bought one really cute pair at Jaya yesterday. Will be putting up pics soon. Just have to push myself to do it since I'm being a lazy ass lately. All thanks to the wonky Internet, I sorta lost interest in going online. And the fact that my PC gets hanged easily if I open more than 4 programs. Sad, rite?

Why my package hasn't arrive yet?? T.T I wanna watch the concert dvd so badly. And the piano book...can't wait to play Dong Bang songs on the piano. Mr. Postman, pls send deliver my package asap for God's sake. Don't you dare lose my package or I'll slaughter you. *sharpens parang*

One more assignment handed in today! ^^ And off I went home to prepare for tonight's outing. Yup, that's right. I was supposed to meet up with my ex-schoolmates in 1 Utama for an Italian meal. I know this isn't me to go out on weeknights. In fact, I don't go out with my friends at night. Not that I haven't done it before but it's rare. Going out for dinner just now was a once in a blue moon thing. What a way to celebrate after handing in my assignment, ne~ ^^

It was great to catch up with my old buddies. I haven't been seeing them for a year so I wouldn't wanna miss this opportunity. Besides, 2 of them are gonna return to Australia within this month. The minute I arrived, I saw 3 familiar faces except 2 guys. Each seating next to one of my friends. I'm pretty sure one of them is my best friend's bf while I assumed the other dude is just a guy friend tagging along. I didn't realise he is my friend's bf & have been dating for the past 6 months. The used-to-be tomboy had finally gotten herself a partner. Wow! I mean, I didn't expect it to be so soon. Seeing the two of them with their bfs definitely prove how time really flies. Everyone is a grown up now. Speaking of that, I'm turning 21 soon T.T

The meal was pretty good but extremely pricey. We ordered fried calamari for starters. It's a deep-fried white squid dish dipped in spicy spaghetti/pasta sauce for those of you who are ignorant about it. Then we ordered beef carbonara, fettucine (which tastes like carbonara too cuz it's equally cheesy) & a pizza. In the end, all of us were so stuffed till we could barely move. The highlight for the day was one of my buddies' birthday cake. I couldn't even finish my slice of cake & had to leave it there. I felt bad though but can't help it. I dun wanna risk exploding my stomach, y'know.

Somehow the dinner didn't turn out like I expected. While the other two were busy chattering with their bfs, the rest of us singles are chatting up ourselves. Not that I'm complaining much since I made a new friend. It's a pity that me & buddies didn't really get to chat like we used to. It should be a girls' outing in the first place but oh well...I'm not in the position to decide anything, am I? I wasn't talking much during dinner so it's awkward at times. I guess I deserve being left out considering what I've done in the past. Finally, the dinner ended at 10.30pm. For the first time, I left the shopping mall so late at night. I feel so liberal at that moment XD. Well not exactly cuz mum was shopping there during my outing. I mean, the feeling of going home late at night is unusual.

I told myself that I'll be getting a haircut tomorrow. I have to since my hair is incredibly long now. Look out for my new hairdo on Monday, ppl! ^^
