Dancing Fish, Setia City Mall

Sunday, April 27, 2014

Right after baking class, I was whisked off by WL to join his family for dinner at Setia City Mall. Tonight, we opted for a twist from the usual Chinese food for Malay-Indo cuisine. The restaurant is Dancing Fish, named after its signature dish.

The dishes have distinct Indonesian taste with hints of local Malay palates. Quite an appetising experience for me especially after an exhausting day in pastry school. My only complain is that the price is rather steep for such small portion.

Now, here comes the must-have dish that the restaurant is famous for. The Dancing Fish~

It tasted pretty good but the fish is too bony & not enough flesh to feed all of us. Again, it was pricey. =( Boo-hoo!

In summary, I wasn't exactly satisfied with the entire meal because for the most part the portion weren't sufficient to be shared among 13 of us. It was indeed a unique gastronomic adventure but not really hitting the right level in the satisfaction meter. Not too sure if I would return for my next meal.
