INTIBALL 2008

Okay, the ball was finally over last Saturday night. My very last ball before I leave university. Honestly, the event was way below my expectation but at the very least; it was a memorable night for me cuz I felt that I looked more beautiful than ever. This is the first time I put so much effort to achieve the best look for prom. And I did it! ^^ With a considerable amount incurred, of course. It was worth every cent spent, anyways.

The food was not bad. In fact, the mutton curry tasted pretty good. However, the feel of the event was lacklustre; leaving much to be desired. It was supposed to be magical. That's what it ought to be. I supposed the only thing that is fuelling the fun & excitement are friends or dates for the night. Cameras were flashing endlessly & I can assure you that I was "blinded" aplentiful times. Especially no thanks to my camera that flashes twice each time a shot is taken. The pics came out fabulous so I shouldn't be complaining XD.

Performance was mediocre but there was one performance that I was looking forward to see. Though it wasn't superbly outstanding till it made me tear, I was watching in awe at the cute guy working on his rendition of Chopin's I-forgot-the-song-title piece. He is an excellent pianist, I must say. *salutes* There were too many bands doing performances & my lack of interest in rock bands is not doing any justice. Therefore, I shall refrain from providing comments about them.

I think what's noteworthy is that my cousin bagged the award for Best Dress. Obviously none of the guys could outmatch his outfit for that night. Just like me, he planned his outfit months before the event & even sourced certain pieces from overseas. Crazy, isn't it? XD If I had more funds, I wouldn't hesitate to order my dress online. There're so many dresses in US sites that I've been eyeing for months but couldn't bring myself to order as they're insanely expensive. While my bunch of friends went for an after-event party at Scarlet, I went home instead & camwhored a lil bit with my cousin bro. Surely you guys will be asking why I didn't join them. I wasn't in the mood to go & home is only 2km away. And I didn't wanna dirty my beautiful long dress walking around the mall & street. I'm...not a clubbing person, you see. *shrugs* Here are the snapshots of the programme book. The concept & design is pretty interesting but if only the pages weren't stapled together (shown in 2nd pic). The staples somehow made the book look sloppy. Oh well, this post basically sums up the whole event. I shall go to bed now.

I've been busy for the whole week that I couldn't even find time to blog at least once. You see, I was occupied with rushing to complete my assignments which all due back to back. This is one of the craziest semesters I've ever experienced *sweats*.

A friend of mine who uses government loan to pay college fees had encountered a problem recently. She was unlucky cuz PTPTN left out her account when allocating funds to all the applicants. There's a possibility that she might not be able to sit for the upcoming semester exams. She has to apply for deferrment for the next semester if necessary. Honestly, I felt really upset after she told me about this.

I'm gonna miss talking with her about the Dong Bangs & getting all fangirly when MTV shows their MVs (well, not like they ever will... -_-"). I mean, we've got loads to talk about & things would be different if she's not around. But what saddens me is that she has no choice but to delay her studies again. Yeah, she did it previously & she might need to do it again. *sighs* Oh well, I guess there's nothing I can do about this...

I managed to get hold of one of my pics in the ball. It kinda sucked actually -_-" & it was taken using an N95. Speaking of that phone, it has a 5 mega-pixel camera. *shakes head* The camera can't escape problem with slow shutter speed in low light conditions when the flash is turned off. Nothing beats a good 'ol film camera. Digital camera is not too bad either if it has an anti-shake function just like Panasonic Lumix's revolutionary Mega O.I.S.

Hi all. I know you guys are eagerly waiting for me to post the pics of the Intiball. Fret not, I will definitely post them...as soon as I finish snapping & finishing the film in my camera. That's right, I decided to return to the good 'ol bulky camera - which still comes in handy at times when you dun own a sophisticated anti-shake digital camera.

I should be able to finish the film by this Saturday, hopefully. Just sit down & wait patiently, will ya? Dun expect much pics cuz there wasn't much to take anyways. Besides, I'm missing one person to camwhore with. You know who you are XD.

Gosh~ Tomorrow is the big day! Okay...kinda exaggerated a little bit. I'm going to prom again just for fun. And I get to flaunt my brand new (and cheap ^^) dress :D. Yippee! Everything has been settled which includes the tickets, shoes, dress, who's doing the make-up & hair...bla bla bla. All I need to do now is to be a good girl & get my beauty sleep so that I won't look like a zombie tomorrow.

There you go...a snapshot of the 2 tickets I bought for tomorrow night & next Saturday's Talent Nite event. It's gonna be a happening night for both weeks. I hope both shows turned out to be good.

I was so excited when my prom dress arrived yesterday. It looks absolutely fabulous at such a cheap price. Of course, I didn't expect much from the material used cuz at RM59.90; there's no way you can get a chiffon dress. I'll kill myself if you can ever get one.

Here's how the dress looks like. I haven't got to take a pic of myself wearing it together with my shoes. I always end up not wearing a proper bra underneath when trying the dress for everyone to see. Perhaps I should save the best moment for the prom night itself & take loads of beautiful pics. ^^

Gah~ If only my 3.2mp camera wasn't stolen in the first place. Then I wouldn't need to rely on others to take pics. T.T Somebody just get me a brand new camera right now!! *wails* Oh boy, I just realised that I'll be attending events one week after another. Intiball is this Saturday while Talent Nite is scheduled next week. *imagines money flying away* T.T

Dad might be driving my grandparents to JB next Thursday which means I might have to drive to uni myself. Ack! The hassle of finding a carpark & leave it there until class ends. Thank goodness class starts at 8am so it forces me to leave house earlier to grab a good parking space. Hmm yes...that should be it.
