Resident Evil: The Final Chapter

Monday, April 24, 2017

I was never a fan of Resident Evil movies ever since the first one was released back in 2002. Film adaptations of popular video games were infamous for poorly executed plots that deviated from video games' story line. Most of the time, the films lost a great deal of important elements from the video games; signaling filmmakers seemingly lost direction while struggling to appeal to a wider audience.

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter is just another example bound to flop, AGAIN.

I watched this in the cinema simply for the sake of accompanying WL. It was a complete & utter waste of time (and money). I refuse to do a synopsis; the movie is indeed depressing. Totally agree that Milla Jovovich is a hot mum who is still rocking a great body figure but aside from this, there's nothing else to feel excited about this film (eg over-the-top action scenes, poor script).

This final chapter is a hot mess waiting to explode & I wonder why the studios still bother making crappy movies like this. As usual, the film ended with a cliched cliffhanger that dropped hints that Alice could return in the unknown future. Oh no...please spare me from the torture of sitting through a cringeworthy movie. It's not all worth it. Rating: 2 out of 5.
