KPop Kingdom 30th Gathering

Saturday, December 15, 2007

I don't usually attend gatherings organised by KPop Kingdom nor the official TVXQ FC. The last time I went was the first FC gathering held at McDonald's Sec 14. That one turned out to be a chaotic one as the venue wasn't spacious enough to accommodate so many members. Music was too loud & the FC admin was literally yelling at the top of her lungs just to get everyone's attention. It was quite disorganised but it was the first meetup so I can forgive that. I think I did blog about this months back. Go refer the March archives yourselves. :P

Out of the blue, I decided to attend KPop Kingdom's last gathering for the year. The main reason was to sell off the remaining Five in the Black concert merchandise that was left unsold for the past few months. The items were hogging space in my room & I got frequent naggings from Mum to clear them off. Now is the time to get rid of them once & for all. Also, the gathering was an excuse to stay out of the house & hang out with one of my online friend in the FC. Lol.

I felt so awkward when I arrive at Burger King, Avenue K cuz this was my first time at a Kingdom gathering. Everyone seemed to be unfamiliar with me & never dared spoke to me. I sat with my friend & looked around nervously. Finally, I got to speak with Yuri (Kingdom founder) as she was questioning whether I'm a forum member. So I told her that I was the one who asked her permission to sell stuff during the gathering. Then only I found out that the proceeds that I've earned through the sales, 10% will go to Kingdom. I thought the commission would turn out to be a lot (thanks to my poor math -_-) but it was less than expected. More on that later ^^.

We played games...and more games. All Yuri did was to supply prizes for game winners as she was trying to clear out her old idol collections as well. Me & 2 other girls won the first game so we received spankin' cool cardboard folder which was made for the 2nd Asia Tour Concert in KL. Those folders were only meant to be distributed to FC members but there were a few copies with off-colour printing. Yuri wanted to give away the defects as prizes instead of distributing to the members. Nevertheless, the off-colour gave a brown & yellowish hue reminiscent of a sepia photo. Still cool~

Soon it was time for Marche session (Marche is a Kingdom term for merchandise). Since I was the only one there who brought Japanese items to sell, everyone was curious to see how the posters & the t-shirt looked like. The minute I removed the plastic wrapper & showed the poster to the crowd, everyone gasped & squealed so loudly. They were rushing to reserve a copy as I only have 3 copies left. One of the Kingdom staff bought the t-shirt cuz only she could fit into the M size. Within mins, all the items were sold out! Wow~ I didn't expect to receive such an overwhelming response from the members. o_O

The atmosphere became less awkward & tensed as ppl started to approach me & enquire about the Japan concert merchandise. Obviously they were curious about how I got the stuff. A few of them showed interest in buying Japan concert merchandise from me in the future though I couldn't promise that I could get them what they want. As you know, I might not have much time to do surveys again in my final year. We still exchanged numbers anyway, just in case. We at least made friends so that's better than nothing. In the end, I only paid commission RM19 out of the RM190 I received from selling the items. It was definitely lesser than expected. I thought I was gonna lose a lot by selling through Kingdom. Phew!

Camwhore session began soon after when everyone wasn't doing anything. Of course, I didn't wanna miss the chance to snap pics with my new camera. The pics turned out really good just like what I've expected. Some were a little blur but that's due to excessive shaky hands. Even the optical stabiliser won't be able to help. Btw, there was a guy who's a FC member too. I knew that there're guy members but this is the first time I saw a member who looks pretty cute XD. Apparently, he was one of those extra soldiers needed for Dong Bang's concert last month. Isn't it great? I actually met someone who was inches close Dong Bang, perhaps twice during rehearsals. Anyways, I shall stop blabbering & get on over to the pics.

The Malay gang who sat together with me during the gathering

Me & Aki aka okhor

L-R: meimei, me & Grace

L-R: meimei, me & Zhi Ying (I think, sorry about forgetting her name -_-)

L-R: The Malay Gang, the dude, me & Aki (doing a little Yoomin or Yoosu pose, if she's into Changmin or Junsu XD)

See that guy in the pic above? He looks pretty cute, don't you think? I didn't know that he's a Bruneian Chinese. I assumed he's living in Malaysia now as I overheard him saying that he hasn't received his IC yet. I wasn't courageous enough to ask for his name cuz I dun wanna make myself sound like a bimbo or something. But I was dying to know his name T.T So now I know that there're good looking guys in Brunei XD. Wu Zun from Fahrenheit is one of them. Speaking of Wu Zun, he can't sing nor act to save his life. Modelling would suit him most. No offence to Fahrenheit fans *runs away to hide*. Overall, the gathering cum year-end party turned out to be pretty fun too despite the small group. It felt more personal & close-knitted, imho. Definitely looking forward to attending future gatherings if time permits. Purpose: To spazz with other equally enthusiastic fans. It's a fangirling thing, you won't understand.

As promised earlier, I'll give you an insight on my new camera. I bought it at RM1093 which I thought was a pretty good deal. There weren't many colours to choose from - black & silver. Somehow that shop managed to import a white one from Japan, a special colour rarely available in the local market. The white model was even more beautiful thanks to its glossy finish. Knowing how easy white colour attracts stains, Mum said to choose the conventional colour - metallic silver. The items listed below are the ones we received at the time of purchase.

  1. Camera in a standard package (camera, battery, charger, cables, hand strap)
  2. 2GB Panasonic SDHC memory card
  3. Original Panasonic camera pouch
  4. Original Panasonic/Beijing Olympic Games 2008 hand towel
Initially, the original set priced at RM1299 was supposed to be like this...

  1. Camera in a standard package (same as above)
  2. 2GB Toshiba HCSD memory card
  3. Original Panasonic camera pouch
  4. Mini tripod
  5. Original Panasonic/Beijing Olympic Games 2008 hand towel
The salesguy decided to change the Toshiba memory card to a Panasonic when we were interested but not convinced to make purchase at RM1100. Then, we requested that the mini tripod should be replaced with another item. Perhaps a screen protector but unfortunately the tripod costs so much lesser than the screen protector. I'd probably have to add on a few more dollars just for that plastic sheet. Nevertheless, we still insist that tripod should be taken out cuz we already have a bigger one at home neways. In the end, the salesguy agreed to deduct the price of the camera (sans the tripod). So that was how the RM1093 came about. I should've asked for free digital prints but I totally forgotten about it -_-. And then I thought, it's not like I always print out my photos neway so the free prints are useless.

Different views of the Panasonic FX33 when switched on

Here are some test photos for you guys to see. The results are pretty good but to be honest, the noise level can be quite high for this camera during low lights. Nevertheless, this one is so much better than my stolen Olympus. Btw, Panasonic uses Leica lens so no doubt it's good. Take note that all pics below were resized to save bandwidth. No other editings were done.

Night scene taken from the 6th floor, Assunta Hospital

Taken at the PJ Police HQ. This is a poorly taken pic but somehow I like how the effect turns out ^^

The best shot taken so far. This is the MCIS building nearby PJ Hilton Hotel.

Me doodling in front of the camera while my sis tries to capture a good shot. Lighting is good but the only prob is the way I pose XD

That's all for now. I'm going to bed.

P.S. I'm loving this camera soooooooo much~

PC Fair (III) 2007

Sunday, December 09, 2007

Today was the last day of PC Fair at the KL Convention Centre & I told myself that I had to go no matter what or else regret later for not missing the opportunity visit the Panasonic booth. For the first time, Panasonic decided to set up a booth to exhibit its products at PC Fair. Since I was dying to see the brand new Panasonic Lumix FX33, this was a chance not to be missed. Mum & sis came along as they both had something to grab anyway.

As usual, the crowd size was crazy as everyone squeezed through the hallway to get to the next booth. I was looking forward to enter the ballroom cuz Panasonic's booth is there & also this hall is where all the big shot companies such as Sony, Samsung, Lenovo etc were having exhibition. Without further delay, I approached the Panasonic booth & grab one copy of the VIERA TV catalogue while enjoying the captivating sights of the huge plasma TVs nearby. I found the Lumix cameras on display nearby & didn't hesitate to test the FX33. Omg, the camera is such a beauty *dreamy eyes*. The smooth & sexy curves, the thinnest of the camera width, the sleekness of the metallic finish on the camera body...the FX33 just oozes charm & glamour. At that moment, I half imagined that a stack of cash would fall down from the ceiling so I could purchase this sexy gadget right away. *sighs* It's not like I really have the money anyway. I walked off instead.

On the other hand, my sis visited the Sony booth just for the sake of snapping of the Vaio laptops decorated on the wall. It was indeed a creative idea as it succeeded in grabbing everyone's attention to stop by for a few mins at the booth. Way to go, Sony! Too bad I've already got a lappie for myself so I'm no longer interested to scout for a new one. Here are the pics that my sis managed to take. Lighting is bad cuz it's too blue. The hall was set up in soft lights hence making it difficult for my sis to get a good shot. What's more, she's only using my crappy Motorola Razr V3 camera in which I forgot to switch back the light settings from indoors to normal. Oh well, the switch wouldn't help much anyways. Have a look at these poorly taken pics.

Okay, the pics weren't that bad either. Still, it's too blue~ -_- Anyways, to keep it short - I ended up buying things that I didn't plan to get in the first place. For instance, the Logitech mouse which costs me RM30 just cuz it's a...Logitech. My old Logitech optical mouse is starting to show some malfunctions but nevertheless, it still works fine. That's why I had no intention to get a new mouse anytime soon. For once, I feel so rational when it comes to purchasing non-Dong Bang stuffs XD. But Mum pestered me to buy one for standby. There goes my RM30 T.T

And another RM12 for blank DVD-Rs which costs RM24 (the other half paid by my sis). The DVD-Rs were a planned purchase so I shouldn't be categorising it as a waste of money. We needed those discs to store our ever-growing collections of mangas, dramas yadi yada which are clogging up my HDD. After meeting up my friend working at the DiGi booth - got tricked to sign up for 2 postpaid numbers - we left for lunch, savouring the freshness of sushis bought from Isetan supermarket. Of course, we didn't leave the exhibition without bringing home something great. I mean it. It was totally unexpected & so do you guys. Can you believe that we bought this in the end?? *look below*

Details of the camera will be featured in the next post. So stay tune! ^^ *grins*

After both of my dogs passed away, my family had no intention to take in a new one so soon cuz the virus might infect it with the same disease. And so our house was left unguard for about a month. We took extra caution to reduce the risk of burglary - making sure the doors & gates are locked at all times, shutting my room's glass window each time I leave the house, stay extra alert when there's an unusual sound yadi yada. So far so good as there was no sign of intruders, except for cats belonging to the neighbourhoods taking advantage of the dogs' absence & trespassing our compound.

When the news about Mum's friend giving away her pup broked, I was more than delighted that Mum intended to take him in. I was told that it's a half-breed male Rottweiler, barely 2-3 months old. The idea of having a pup at home running around felt so wonderful, I thought. I pestered Mum to bring him back & promised that me & my sis would take good care of him & training him well at the same time. When I caught a glimpse of him that morning after the concert last month, my mood instantly lightened up from my post-concert depression. He's such a cute lil' pup with droopy ears & always cheerful. Aww!

We named him Bobby, btw. Lame, I know. Not that I can help it cuz it was Mum's idea. Bobby, it is. Good to know that he's a lively pup but he tends to be hyperactive. Too lively for my liking -_-. To the extend of pouncing on someone & grabbing his/her legs; humping away. Yes, you read it right. Humping the legs....can you imagine that?? He's only 3 months old!!! Not even an adult yet. And oddly enough, he usually does that to women in the house. He stuffs his head into the butt & starts sniffing it. Ewww!!! Gross~ Anyways, I guess I'll have to tolerate Bobby for another few months or so & enjoy his growing process while it lasts. I believe he would grow up to be a really humongous dog. And a good guard too ^^. Here're some pics of my lil' pup.

Isn't he cute? ^^

edit:
Some of the pics that I wanted to upload but left out from this post.

The glowstick that I used during the concert. Not many ppl had it so I'm considered one of a kind XD

Remnants from the concert Silver confettis collected from the pit zone ^^

Concert Experience Part 3

Next, the projector screens showed a clip ala Charlie Chaplin of the boys hanging out at the car showroom - oggling & playing with the cars. It was a hilarious one cuz the boys got chased out of the showroom for messing with the cars on display. In the end, they built a car on their own using scrap metal parts taken from a junkyard. And off they came up on stage driving a car which was detachable while grooving to the tune of DRIVE. Yunho & Yoochun sat in the car & drove along the middle aisle straight to the crowd at the RM423 & RM283 area. I think Junsu came to our side for a while then along came Changmin as well. Junsu was smilling sheepishly all the time. I was thinking, he's sure tengah perasan cuz all the girls were calling out his name. Changmin was really shy that night as he quickly turned his eyes away when all of us met his XD. How cute!

The song ended in a few mins & the next vid of the boys in silhouette appeared. They were busy chit-chatting in their usual dorky way & then sang a short acapella, Whatever they say. Thank goodness for the subtitles or else we wouldn't have understand their casual jokes in the vid ^^. The boys appeared sitting on stools with bright red lights illuminating from their backs thus creating silhouettes while they croon to the tune of You only love. It was such a beautiful song when sung live as I got to experience their soulful harmony which complimented each other's voice, forming a perfect balance. Another vid about war scenes were shown before their next song, Dangerous Mind. Without further delay, the boys sang TRI-ANGLE which also featured Zhang Liyin covering BoA's part. I reckoned there was poor timing for the revolving door which was supposed to move upwards to reveal Zhang Liyin singing away. She was literally bending down to show her face but the door was moving too slow. I guessed half of her part was almost finished when the door barely moved up till her body. Such a pity!

Tadaa! Our much awaited song had finally came~ Dong Bang's signature song for the 3rd album made everyone high. Junsu did Yunho's intro dance while our dear oppa stood afar waiting to sing. *sighs* No one can ever replace oppa's part, not even Junsu. Everything would be so perfect if Yunho could dance. Anyways, everyone was singing enthusiastically to O-JUNG.BAN.HAP that the whole atmosphere was absolutely amazing. I forgot to mention; during the fast songs, the boys changed into outfits that blew our minds away. Yoochun especially, wore this 3/4 tight-fitted sleeve shirt with the front part cut across into strips revealing his chest O_O. We could see his nipples each time he jumped around the stage XD. That was totally orgasmic! I think I just had a nosebleed. Changmin wore nothing under a sweatshirt & had it zipped up halfway to show some bare chest *drools*. At one part, his left side kept slipping off his shoulders - revealing well toned biceps & chest. Gosh, I think my brain exploded after seeing it. The cute thing is, our dear Changmin felt so shy again & was trying hard to push back the sweatshirt to his shoulder while dancing but to no avail. Awww, Changminnie~ You're so adorkable!

The song ended with a blast & oh boy, I was wishing for more. But I guess things have to slow down a little as I got too heated up XD. Please don't ask me what the next vid is about cuz I could hardly remember. The boys came out with full length white coats & sang Remember. It wasn't my fav song off their 3rd album but somehow listening & seeing the boys singing live made it so good. It was another heartfelt song especially when the boys stood up on a rotating platform which elevated above the centre aisle. The elevated platform allowed everyone in the stadium to see the boys clearer, I guess. Hmm, how should I express my views about this song? It's...a motivating song. A song that gives hope. Maybe the song does not mean that but who cares XD.

Moving on next is another vid of the Dong Bangs in cute animation. This one is really popular & is still circulating around the Internet for months. It showed the boys going to SM Town theme park & playing rides. I should cut this short cuz you have to watch the vid on YouTube to know how hilarious it is. Then, the boys came out riding mini aeroplanes singing the cute song, Balloons & maneuvering them to different parts of the aisles. Though I didn't get to see Yoochun that much but Changmin was at our side for almost the entire song. How lucky we are! It was a fun ride with Dong Bang as everyone was waving their glowsticks & singing so loudly. This was not the end. The boys later sang HI YA YA which made the crowd jumped madly (I was one of them XD). They made speeches again & to slow things down, they decided to sing Unforgettable. Awww it sounded so romantic live!

Unforgettable was supposed to be the last song for the night. They made some sappy speeches (LOL!) & then left the stage with us wanting more. All of us shouted "Encore! Encore!" & managed to get the boys back on stage. Ah, it was a pre-planned encore anyway so no big deal. But it's good that we got to hear them singing HUG, their debut song which propelled them to success in late 2004. More bass were added to the song to make it more jumpy. I think it's meant to get the crowd worked up before they adjourned. I'd have to say this last song is my most memorable one. My dear Yoochun was holding a mineral bottle & drinking away...suddenly he walked near my area & started splashing water on me & a few other girls. AHHHHHH!!! I LOVE YOU, YOOCHUN~ Off he went to the far side of the stage. Junsu came nearby, bent down & put a foot on the railings. He was sorta tempting the girls there to pull the hem of his jeans & shoelace XD. Later, Yoochun came from the opposite direction & did the same thing. Dang! I couldn't even get near him cuz everyone was pushing -_-. How disappointing! *shrugs* Oh well...at least I got your water, Yoochunnie XD.

Finally, the boys bidded farewell & left the stage. The concert had ended with loud bangs & silver confettis shooting up the air. I took one home for remembrance. Silly me! LOL. Everyone in the pit zone refused to leave as we tried to get the boys to come back just for one more song. We sang I'll be there & an early birthday song for Junsu (which I thought was a bad idea) twice. At that time, I could barely hear my squeaky voice cuz my throat was having a terrible sore. Still, I tried my best to sing as loud as I could. Sadly, the boys left for good & so we fans had no choice but to leave. Imho, I think we did give a huge impression to the Korean staffs who were listening while clearing up the stage. Hopefully they would report this the boys & make them happy. Or maybe the boys heard our singings themselves...^^

I shall not narrate on the part while travelling back home as you guys might not stand the fangirling thingy. Initially, we had plans to stop by at JW Marriott & then straight to QBar to stalk the boys after the concert. In the end, we had to cancel it cuz Mum sent me a text asking about my whereabout. Being an obedient girl, I requested Intan to drop me home instead. Besides, everyone was bloody tired. I reached home at 12am & by the time I got ready for bed, it was 1.30am. I dozed off quickly as my exhaustion reached its limits. It was a night to remember. Thank you, my beloved Dong Bangs. Though my post-concert depression sets in & lasted for 2 days, it reflected how much I love & miss you guys. I'm looking forward to you guys releasing your next Korean album soon & hopefully come back to Malaysia in 2009. I'll be waiting...

Concert Experience Part 2

The concert started with visuals shown on the large screen on the stage which also switched at random. And then, one screen moved upwards revealing 5 guys standing there in long, black & red coats reminiscent of 5 mannequins you normally see in clothing shops. Lol. Except that these are more good looking ^^. The screen moved downwards again & within mins, I saw the boys standing on the stage preparing to start their first song. Bang! The Dong Bangs opened the night with the first song, Phantom. Oh boy! You should see how much we all screamed~ LOL. Everyone started moving forward while I stayed behind. Who would wanna risk getting suffocated in there?? Here's where the not-so-fun part started. Some stupid fangirls were apparently sooooo scared that they couldn't get their oppas attention *rolls eyes* & ended up holding their signboards above their heads for 5 songs. WTF! Because of that, so many ppl couldn't see clearly. The Japanese obasans were so pissed; they complained to the security guards. Thankfully, the girls put the signboards down but they did the same thing again in the 2nd half of the show. Lets not talk about them. The boys moved on to Million Men (2nd song), dancing away like nobody's business. At that time, everyone was already screaming for Yunho cuz he was missing from the stage. Yup, he didn't dance thanks to his injured hips back at the Seoul Encore Concert :(. What a waste! *sighs*

After Million Men, videos were shown again...this time the boys were pictured like some anime characters battling with monsters & slashing 'em with their awesomely cool weapons. It was a little too cheesy for me but who cares. All of 5 of them looked smokin' hot!! In the vid, Jaejoong swerved his sword, releasing a wave energy across a convoy of monsters. He really looks like a manga character coming alive *woot*. And suddenly, he broked into the The way U are at the chorus part. Then, all 4 of them appeared on stage to continue the song - only singing the 2nd half. Yunho was probably standing at the inner right side of the stage as I only caught glimpses of him. Next was Rising Sun & the performance was good though a little lacklustre due to missing Yunho. *sighs* I was trying hard to observe Yoochun who's standing at the far left side T.T. Why didn't I get the left pit zone??? Decided to stare at Jaejoong & Changmin instead cuz they looked so bloody hot in person XD.

Time for intermission & vids were shown again. This time, a girl was seen falling into the depths of the water. Okay, I don't see any relations with the monster battle. *shrugs* Whatever...after the vid, the girl appeared at the top of the stage slowly descending & flailing away as if she was struggling in the deep waters. Later, a guy came down & trying hard to rescue her by pulling her up. The whole scene here was so spectacular cuz both the guy & girl performed so convincingly, enacting the water scene. And without that giant projector projecting almost surreal water images to the white cloth (see pic in previous post), everything could've looked so fake. Thumbs up for this! The boys came descended down to the stage with wires strapped onto their bodies. I could imagine Yoochun shuddering through this XD (he's got height phobia). The intro melody of One was played & everyone cheered loudly. Yay for Yunho singing live so well. He really improved~ ^^ Too bad this time the song failed to touch my heart. Last year, I was tearing up cuz it was sang so emotionally.

Finally, the Dong Bangs greeted the crowd in Korean & of course in Malay by saying, "Apa khabar, Malaysia? Kita Dong Bang Shin Ki!". Omg, who taught them the wrong grammar?? Kita is soooo wrong...*grrr* Nvm, I don't blame the boys cuz it wasn't their fault. They sounded adorable though ^^ *squee* There they go yakking in Korean. This time, their speeches were accompanied with English subtitles projected on the screens at both sides of the stage. Kudos to SM for the translation efforts. At least we don't cheer for no reason like last year lol. Then, they sang Miduhyo so passionately. I was singing along so loudly & yeah, I was quite touched with the song. I couldn't hear a single thing last year due to the poor sound systems. This year wasn't that great but I would say much better. Junsu did some variations in the 2nd half of the song which I thought was a rather creative move from their original song. Unforfunately, Yoochun wasn't so consistent that night as he couldn't pull of some notes well. He tried his best anyway & I love him for that XD. Changmin has no problem, which is great :).

When You're my miracle came up, the crowd went berserk cuz the boys walked down the aisle - each of them spliting to different directions. Changmin walked along the middle aisle & turned to his left side; his back facing my area. O_O He was literally standing right in front of me (about 1m away...) & sweating profusely as seen from the visible marks on his jacket. Trust me, they were wearing suits in the hot weather -_-. Yoochun came to join Changmin & I couldn't stop spazzing away. I saw him upclose last year & it was exactly the same that night. Only difference is that I could stare at him longer at a closer distance XD. Was screaming his name so loudly but I guess it was stupid to even think that he would hear it *sighs*. They disappeared to the backstage for another clothes change. Yes, they changed lots of costumes that night.

Without further delay, another vid came up showing Junsu clad in gold tank top & err...pants I think. When he appeared on stage, he was wearing the same exact costume - singing his self-composed My Page while strutting his stuff with male & female dancers. I couldn't express how hot the female dancers were. I felt so envious in that instant moment. "Rain" started falling on Junsu while he shaked his kamo butt (he's famous for his sexy butt). While walking & dancing along the centre aisle, he accidentally slipped & fell. But ended up doing a cool pose to cover up his mistake. That was soooo random & cool! Definitely the capable Junsu. The song ended & he threw his cap away. Wonder who's that lucky gal who got his black cap. Yoochun appeared immediately from the aisle wearing a white sleeveless tank top, grey khakis & a red hat. OMG!!! I screamed as loudly as I could cuz he looked so good...When he sang the first word, my heart stopped beating for a few secs. I kept quiet & listened intently throughout the song as he did a rendition of Brian McKnight's One Last Cry. His English sounded fobby but nvm...cuz I was so drawn to the song. I didn't even cheer for him cuz I was in the verge of tears. He'll always be the heartbreaker, I thought to myself.

Upnext was Yunho performing his self-composed solo, Spokesman which supposedly featured Donghae from Super Junior. Donghae was replaced by an unknown Korean dude singing the rap parts. The performance was a blast as we got to see Yunho performing his all. Yup, he danced in his solo. I supposed he didn't wanna disappoint the fans & thus give a full performance of his solo dance. Everyone was thrilled, of course. It did made fans like me quite worried that he might strain his hips again. Perhaps performing one dance & not the rest for the entire night won't do any harm. The 5 of them were backed together to for Hey!Girl accompanied by female dancers. Everyone was screaming so loudly when the boys held the dancers' hands & even touched the their faces. Let me define the screams by the fans. I was screaming cuz the whole touching thingy was indeed hot. However, the others found it intimidating when the dancers were so close to their darling Dong Bangs. C'mon, it was only a performance. How about a peck on the cheek? Don't tell me those rabid fangirls will start throwing rotten eggs to the dancers?? Hmm, it's possible. Never underestimate them. *runs away to hide* Their next song was I wanna hold you & if I'm not wrong, the pic below was taken during that time. Sorry for the poor memory cuz I practically forgot lots of details. I was too engrossed staring at their cute faces.

See Junsu's kamo butt?? (as shown by red arrow)

Another vid was shown on the screen & this time, we could see Changmin's silhouette & his voice testing the instruments for the band. He then appeared at the top of the stage (during the mannequin part) singing When I first kissed you. To add more jazzy feel to the song, props were included on the stage with a couple sitting together on the bench & a lamp post. It was a good song to slow down the fast pace of the concert as I needed some rest from all the screams & squeals. Jaejoong was the last to perform his solo, Crying which was one my favourite song. He came up on stage sitting on a stool with a mike stand within his grasp - singing his heart out like a heartbroken soul. I'd have to admit this, Jaejoong was the best singer that night. Not even a single off-pitched note. Maybe the rest of the members weren't at their tip-top condition. As for Yunho, he's already known for his weaker vocals compared to the rest but he improved so much that I didn't find any flaws at all. After Jaejoong's solo, the 2nd session of the concert started.

To be continued...

Tuesday, November 27, 2007

Last Saturday night was like a dream *swoons*. Guess what, it took me almost 2 days to realise that the most anticipated concert in my calendar had already ended. How unbelievably fast the 2 1/2 hour concert passed by! And I'm currently experiencing what we fans called "post-concert depression". I can't express how much I missed them already after such an enjoyable night. We were BREATHING THE SAME AIR~

Okay, I was thinking of typing a complete fan account of the concert but I could hardly recall the song sequence at all. I referred to YesAsia for the song list to help refresh my memory. Can't blame...I was hyperventilating when the boys stood right in front of my eyes & all my other memories vanished. They were as good looking compared to last year; perhaps even better cuz I could capture their faces clearly every second during the concert. I was THAT near.

(from my faint memory) Here's what happened that day...

Concert Experience Part 1

Intan (Fatimah's close friend) came to pick me up at 1.30pm & all 6 of us (me, Fatimah, Intan & 3 other cousins) squeezed in her ruby red Myvi. Off we headed straight to Stadium Merdeka while screaming excitedly among ourselves. We bought some food & snacks beforehand knowing that it's very unlikely that we have time to eat while queueing to enter the stadium. I bought a McD's burger for my early dinner & a boxful of Oreos as a standby in case my stomach starts crying for food again -_-. We arrived at the venue approx 2pm or so & the crowd had already gathered. Mind you, the concert only starts at 8pm.

Then, we hung around the booths selling some merchandise & was told that it'll be opened at 3pm. Since the weather was scorching hot, we walked to the back of the stadium & found some fans trying to peak at the rehearsal which was still going on. I managed to steal a few glances through the gates & saw from afar blondie Jaejoong in a sleeveless tank top. Even from a distance, you can see his eye-catching hair & skin colour. Now you know how fair Koreans are. When the event organisers came to cover up the gates with black fabrics, we sat under the trees to enjoy the cool breeze. Ate our meals at about 4pm, commented about Junsu & Zhang Liyin's rehearsal - me giving a bad feedback about Liyin's voice. We could still hear their practice session despite the blocked gates. She was doing fine but perhaps not good enough for concerts yet. Believe or not, some fans were so notorious & uncivilised. One girl actually climbed up the stadium to see what's going on inside the stadium. Geez~ -_- I was already cursing to myself, wishing that she would fall & break her leg or something. She was being so ridiculous!

At 5pm, we returned to the stadium entrance & went to our respective gates to join the queue. I got to meet Mandy; the girl whom I chatted with for several weeks before the concert. We vowed to meet up & so we did. Both of us only managed to talked for a few mins as I had to stand at the gates to the right pit zone (she's on the left). It's hard not to miss the sea of red crowding around the entrance. At that moment, I felt so proud to be part of this fandom cuz everyone is equally enthusiastic & passionate about the Dong Bangs. Met 2 new ppl who hailed from East Malaysia & chatted joyously ^^. We parted ways after that as I headed to the pit zone while they went to the RM423 seats. Trust me, entering the stadium was chaotic. Overly excited fans were eager to save the best spot in the pit zone ended up pushing each other at the door. As a result, I heard that the doors broked & the guards got really mad & started yelling at the girls. Served the girls right...this is too rebellious. Maybe the guards should've gave them a tight slap on the face.

When I entered the stadium, I got myself comfortable by sitting on the grass. Need to conserve all the remaining energy I have just for the concert. Not surprising was a few Japanese obasan sitting in the same area too. And a group of Filipinos who were busy yakking away & fiddling with their iPod videos. Again, I got acquainted with two 16 year old girls from Ipoh. There were announcements made in 4 different languages - Chinese, English, Japanese & Korean - warning the crowd about using prohibited items (cameras, mp3 recorders, etc.) during the concert. What's more, it was repeated twice but obviously no one heeded the warning. As for me, I didn't have a camera & failed to borrow one. It was better not to carry one anyway cuz I had a feeling the security will be extremely tight judging from last year's fan account at the pit zone. Somehow, the securities weren't concern with camera cellphones. Apparently camera phones were not a threat to them maybe cuz camera phones are never great. That's why I took snapshot of the stage before the concert starts.

The evening skies grew darker & looked really beautiful with KL Tower & KLCC at the horizon. It was mesmerising...

At approx 8pm, the concert started!

To be continued...

3 MORE DAYS TO GO!! OMG...

Darn. I still haven't decided on which shoe to wear on Saturday. Help me decide, please. I'll offer you cupcakes for doing so XD.

Tuesday, November 20, 2007

In case you didn't know, I just got back my lappie yesterday. It went wonky for the 3 weeks; refusing to restart properly & nothing appeared on the screen except pitch black. Was told that the system board died failed again. Finally got it replaced & my dear lappie is functioning well at the moment. Thank God I backed up my files so nothing to worry ^^. Photoshop is gone so I have to borrow from someone to install again -_-.

Initially, I was pretty pissed with the fact that the system board failed for the 2nd time cuz I remember sending my lappie for a similar diagnostic a month after I bought it. That means, I was using a newly replaced brand new system board before being replaced few days ago. It made me think that HP is manufacturing crappy motherboards to fit in to its Compaq. After some serious thoughts, maybe it wasn't exactly HP's fault for such trashy mobos. It could be due to the faulty power socket I was using in college months ago. My lappie crashed when my aunt was using it at home. From then, it started crashing every now & then. I thought it was due to Vista's buggy problem. The electric shock must've been the culprit...

Anyways, I'll be getting a new doggie real soon. This Wednesday~ It's a half breed Rottweiler puppy, if I'm not wrong. Mum's friend wanted to give it away & so I suggested to take that puppy in since we no longer have dogs at home. In return, we give a packet of sugar to Mum's friend. This is the first time I heard about this unusual Chinese custom. Apparently, the sugar is meant to be a token of goodwill & appreciation. Weird, huh? *shrugs* Can't wait for it to arrive...^^

P.S. 4 more days to the concert~

Monday, November 19, 2007

OMG! There's only 5 more days to go before concert day. So far, I haven't felt the nervousness yet but the excitement is gradually building up as the days pass by. I can't imagine that I'm going to see them in person again. Only this time at a even closer view (nearer to the main stage). I should borrow my aunt's FX30 to snap pics, don't you think? Since I'm gonna be standing near the stage~ *woot*

I'm hoping that I'll get a good spot in the rock zone area as I'm worried that tall ppl might block my view. As you know, I'm vertically challenged. *sighs* Being inches shorter is definitely a disadvantage. Thus, I've taught of wearing high heels (approx 2 1/2 inches) just to get a better view. What do you think? Don't forget. I still have to stand for the entire concert for about 2 hrs or more. And that includes queueing outside the stadium before the concert to get a strategic spot. Gosh~ My backbone would break, man! T.T

Give me some feedbacks, will ya? Two options for my footwear. First, a pair of 2 1/2 inches high heels. Second, a shoe with platform heels (approx 2 inches). I would appreciate your suggestions so that I can choose the most viable option & ensure a comfortable experience for this coming Saturday.

Office job

Thursday, November 15, 2007

I bet you guys are wondering what I've been doing lately. Nothing much, really. To be honest though, I started working yesterday. Yup, you hear me right! I'm not gonna tell you which company I'm working for. I mean, it's just not ethical to blog about the company unless you're doing free publicity. Plus, I don't wish to get myself into trouble even though I'm only a temp staff.

The pay is good & I mean, REALLY GOOD. For that kind of work, I'd have to say that it's the highest rate I've ever received. Hence, I wouldn't mind if the tasks turned out to be repetitive & dull. The best part is I don't need to be exposed under the sun. Everyday is freezing cold for me. The rain makes me it worst. Definitely can't live without my jacket. Other than countless times of accidental paper cuts & minor backaches due to carrying heavy loads, what more can I ask for such a simple job?

There you have it. A little info about my job. You know, I intended to apply for internship but due to time constraint...no one will be willing to hire me. So, I was really desperate to get any job that will bring me some income during the holidays (I don't get pocket money during hols -_-). Besides, I needed some moolah to finance my Dong Bang obsession & to save up some money for future use.

Monday, November 12, 2007

Bad news. I didn't get to buy the camera yesterday. Can you imagine queing for 3 hours but ended up not buying anything? Yes, disappointing! Actually, that launch invitation e-mail was sorta a gimmick to attract the crowd. Indeed, there're people who managed to buy the Sony DSC-T2 at RM111.10. Because they camped at Times Square a day before the event. I really salute those ppl who had that much energy to stand there & wait till the next day. I'm definitely pwned.

Why didn't I wait summore, you ask? Well, Sony used incremental pricing to sell this brand new model. Lets say you're the first few ppl in the queue, you'll get to buy it at a dirt cheap price. As you're ranked the nth person in the loooonng queue, the price will increase. Which means...I didn't even stand a chance to buy at a cheap price at all. I arrived the mall entrance at 9.30am & there was already a long, long queue. *shrugs*

Coincidentally, I met my college mate there & he waited since 5am. Yup, you read it right. In the end, he gave up too. Was it worth waiting long hours just for that bloody camera? Yes & no. Yes...if I managed to get the camera at RM111.10. No...since I'm willing to pay RM1000+ for a camera, why bother standing there like a fool? Walk across the road to Low Yat Plaza & there I have it; a digital gadget shopping paradise.

The whole thing was a good experience for me. It was part the excitement of standing there like a dungu & chit-chatting with my online friend who came to meet me. And she was kind enough to accompany me, hence I'm truly grateful of her. That's all about my story. It was a long, long day. Definitely a good preparation for the upcoming concert XD.

Thursday, November 08, 2007

Just when I wanted a camera so badly for the upcoming concert, this e-mail arrived right on time. *starts tearing* God must have showered lots of love over me. I am greatful...

I must seize every opportunity given on that day. For once, I feel proud to be a Sony customer XD.

Monday, November 05, 2007

Whee! It's the holidays~ ^^ For almost 2 months...o_O Time to look for a job to earn some extra bucks. Oh well...so many things happened last weeek. I'll just put it all in one post to save time ok. Here's what happened last week.

Sunday
Mum won an 80GB SATA hdd from the charity auction organised by the management of Digital Mall. Too bad I can't fit it in my CPU. Old mobo...what do you expect?

Monday
Study. Sleep. TV. Procrastinate.

Tuesday
Exam was so-so. Dun think I did well. Enough said.

Wednesday
My package came. Oh heavens! The box is absolutely gorgeous.

Thursday
Saw a video on Reuters covering Dong Bang's encore concert over the weekend. Then, the news went global & appeared in TVs at different corners of the world. Amazing, isnt' it?

Friday
Study. Sleep. Eat. Whatever...-_-

Saturday
Exam was nightmare. Just like what the lecturer warned us. Nevertheless, I'm free from exams~ Went for my first-ever cocktail party in conjunction with the official launch of the new Mercedes C Class. Champagnes, cognacs, Heineken beers, wine...you name it. Everything is on the house. Absolutely free. Even the cigars too.

Sunday
Tested AADBSK 2 on my DVD player & it wouldn't play 3 discs. Crap! Decided to watch it on my lappie until 4am. Woo-hoo!

P.S. I need a job...

Sunday, October 28, 2007

God. Exams. Guh... -_-"

Just to let ya guys know that I'll be on a hiatus for 1 week. Oh well, I guess it doesn't make any difference since I don't blog every day *shrugs*. Wish me luck, ppl! I need loads of them especially for Consumer Behaviour. T.T

Wednesday, October 24, 2007

Woohoo! I got my ticket~ *excited* XD Somebody pls stop me. I've got to prepare for my exams instead of counting the remaining days to the concert. I gotta look for a job too cuz I've been kinda broke lately -_-". *sighs* Oh well...here's a glimpse of my ticket. Random note: Praying hard that it won't rain on Nov 24. *crosses fingers*

edit:
Look, look! I found the vid for the "I love you lahhhh" part during the press con. OMG! It was Yoochunie who overdid the "lahhh". Gosh...it was so hilarious.

-----------------------------------------------

Ish...I regretted for not going to Sunway Resort after class. Why? Because my beloved Dong Bangs were there for the press conference. I already missed the entire adventure of stalking them at the airport. Ok, I already intended not to welcome them at the airport anyways cuz it's a waste of money. But I didn't expect they were just a few mins drive away from my college T.T I could've just take a cab & join Teema to fangirl for about 1/2 hr then head home.

Well, I didn't go in the end. Cuz I called Mum & Dad to pick me up at 6pm :(. When I was on the phone with Teema, she was practically spazzing about how gorgeous the boys were. Of course! I was standing right under their nose in the concert last year. Of course, I can remember clearly how they looked like back then. Perhaps I wasn't lucky to be inches away from them XD. To Teema: Yes, I know how gorgeous Yunho is & so is my Yoochunie. What's more he's baring his chest again *drools* Don't you dare steal him~ He's mine! *glares* :P

I was looking for fancams & pics of the boys at the airport while reading up my assignment question XD. Oh boy, Junsu had this same stuck up look plastered on his face just like last year. And Jaejoong was being moody & dreamy like he did previously. What's exactly on their mind? I wonder...well, at least Changmin is smiling away! Aww he look so cute with that short hair. As usual, Yunho looks cheerful & flashing his infamous political smile XD. And lastly, my Yoochunie!! It's ok that you recently got your coconut shell haircut cuz you still looked great despite the dorkiness ^^. Your bare chests is enough to kill me~ *dies* Flaunt your shoulders more in the concert ok...LOL. There was this press con vid that showed them talking about our lah culture. And they purposely drag the lah by saying "I love you lahhhhh~". *dies of laughter* Guess what, they even planned to use the lah in the concert next month. OMG! I'm starting to feel proud of our Manglish XD.

Speaking of my parents, I bumped into Mum at McD's during my usual snacking time at 6pm after class. Initially, I saw a lady in pink at the counter in front of me so I just ignored. When she started walking towards the door, something hit my senses. That frame looked so familiar & so I decided to turn around to take a closer look. Ah, it's Mum after all. Lol. That was random. I shall continue with my assignment. Tata! ^^

Monday, October 15, 2007

It's better late than never. Don't you agree with me? ^^ Well, here're some of the pics I took during Mid-Autumn Festival. Just a note: I used my cousin's Nokia 5300 to take these snapshots & it turned as sucky as ever even with the night mode scene. Camera phones just plain suck! You won't be able to see my face but I guess it should stay that way since I looked terribly awful anyway.

We lit up the pathway in my house & it sorta resembles a mini airport runway XD

The walls were glowing too ^^

Dong Bang ♥ is anywhere, anytime...

Lastly, here're the pics of my sis & I being perasan~

Saturday, October 13, 2007

Since the poster was officially released in the Chinese paper, I wouldn't hesitate posting the pic here. In fact, I saw it on the GB Stargazer webbie days before the paper was distributed nationwide on Friday. Here, I present you TVXQ! 2nd Asia Tour "O" Live in Kuala Lumpur.

P.S. To those who are going, I'm looking forward to seeing you guys there XD

Friday, October 05, 2007

I supposed I was overly excited about booking tickets for the concert & ended up...dropping my cellphone on the floor with a crash. And out came the metal plate from the front part of the phone. Without further delay, I took out the super glue (we call it elephant glue here XD) to stick the plate to where it should be.

The first glue tube dried up cuz the previous user didn't screw the cap tightly so I had to dispose it. Since the 2nd one is brand new, I had to poke a hole for the glue to flow out. I put too much force to it & things turned out disastrous. The glue came gushing out like volcano erupting, spilling all over my fingers. Knowing the glue's ability to dry instantly when in contact with air, I made sure that my fingers were spreaded apart.

In the end, I had to let the glue dry first before I can continue my work. *sighs* How can this happen?! You wouldn't have imagine how hard my fingers were -_-. I could hardly bend them but I managed to stick the plate anyway. After that, my sister helped to clean off the glue using nail remover; scrubbing so hard that I almost felt that my skin would tore. LOL.

After bath, my fingers sorta soften a little & the glue remains can be peeled off. Thank goodness! It's back to normal now so there's nothing to worry about. I couldn't help laughing how stupid things turned out yesterday. *giggles*

Wednesday, October 03, 2007

Details have been confirmed. The boys are coming! The ticket price is out too. Can you believe how much the tickets cost this time? I sorta expected that the price would be higher. But...it sorta doubled tripled last year's price :(. Stupid me to even dare to think that I can afford the most expensive ticket -_-". How am I to afford the seat with clear view of my Yoochunie?? T.T

Date: 24/11/2007
Venue: Stadium Merdeka
Price (inclusive fee): RM103, RM183, RM283, RM323, RM423, RM503

*sighs*

Tuesday, September 25, 2007

Ah...what a good sleep I had~ Though it was only a 3 hours nap, it was much needed to replenish my depleted energy. I broke my sleeping time record by going to bed at 5am this morning cuz I stayed up just to complete my Consumer Behaviour assignment. Yes, I know this is completely unnecessary but I can't help it. I would feel uneasy if I can't settle everything. What's more, the dateline was at 10am today.

Honestly, I could've finish the assignment earlier but it was pretty tough. The lack of resources on Malaysia is definitely not helping either. Malaysian companies or researchers should do more researches in the future, seriously. If not for the benefit of the company, at least do consider the students' needs. If we're qualified to do on our own, we wouldn't have rely on the researchers. *sighs*

Regarding Nurin's murder case, I can't understand why her parents especially the father initially refused to accept the dead body in the bag was indeed her. I mean, it was 99.9% DNA proven. How wrong can it get? I reckon her father was too traumatised & putting false hopes that she's still alive. Hence, he didn't wanna believe that her daughter was officially dead. C'mon, then in the first place why let her walked alone? Isn't it stupid? A normal parent wouldn't let his child roam freely without close supervision. Besides the killer, I think Nurin's parents was at fault too.

Btw, tonight is Mid-Autumn Festival. Happy playing tanglungs or lighting up candles! For I'll be doing the same too. Pics will be upped real soon ^^.

Tuesday, September 18, 2007

It has been a week since I last updated. That's right, I was being lazy. At the same time, I was busy getting information for my assignment which will be due on Sept 21. It's a pretty difficult subject to tackle as it involves lots of psychological terms & yadi yada. It's Consumer Behaviour, of course. One of the hardest module in Marketing. Ack!

Anyways, my dog died last night. Not the sharpei but the half-breed canine (the police force usually rear those dogs to sniff out drugs). It was suffering a lot (probably got infected with some kind of virus) & wouldn't allow the vet to do any treatment. His situation worsen in the evening & finally, my family decided to put him to sleep forever. They thought it would be a waste of money to give the dog any treatments since he got to weak.

Somehow, I still feel a sense of longing for this dog. Not particularly my favourite dog from the list of my previous pets, though. It's just that I got so used to him staring at me each time I opened the back door. I also developed this natural reaction by hiding behind the back door in case he would pounce or growl at me. Then, only I realised that he no longer exist. Do you know the odd feeling of experiencing sudden loss? Most of the time, someone/something close to you would leave without sparing some time for you to start appreciating. Life is fragile, eh?

Monday, September 10, 2007

I was video surfing around YouTube yesterday & came across this really, really interesting ad by Sony. It showcased Sony's BRAVIA LCD TVs main feature, vivid colours. Just some fun facts here. Though this ad was digitally edited to suit the music, every droplet of paint you see was actually real paint.

Basically, Sony Europe spent millions to create the beautiful colour spectrum. That means, the production crew actually set up explosion bombs filled with paint & had a wonderful time splatting the buildings to create this work of art (the advertisement). Abandoned buildings, of course ^^. You should watch it, seriously. The link below directs you to the official site of the ad.

My aunt just came back from Singapore 2 days ago & decided to drop by my house this morning. Guess what she brought along in her handbag? A brand new Panasonic Lumix FX30!! OMG! It's the digicam that I've been eyeing for quite some time but never had the moolah to buy it. I want, I want, I WANT!!! T.T *runs to the corner & cry*

Apparently, she bought it in Singapore for about RM1000+ with lots of freebies. The most attractive freebie in the package is 2 units of 2GB SD card. Where on earth can you get such offers? She chose a metallic pink body & it looks pretty darn good. Nah, it's not the bright pink you're expecting but a rather soft metallic pink to match the camera's slim design. If I'm getting one, I guess I'll go for the navy blue or black ^^. Gosh, I really need to start working. There're so many things that I wanna buy...

Speaking of digicams, my very first assignment for MKT324 Consumer Behaviour subject is related to digital camera industry. What a coincidence! *sighs* This whole idea of digicams makes me feel heartbroken about my stolen camera. If only I wasn't so careless...*sobs* Who cares if that Olympus has only 3.2mp & produces over-saturated colours? It does take nice & decent outdoor pics during daytime. *cries again* This is awful :(

Monday, September 03, 2007

Tadaa! What do you guys think about my skin? Pretty cute, isn't it? ^^ Took me quite some time to come across this skin to replace my old one. I made quite a number of adjustments just to make sure it appears nicely on my wide screen monitor. Boy, it was tedious since I know nuts about Java script & my HTML knowledge is rather limited. At least I managed to get the look I want. Hehe.

As usual, I suck at designing something on my own so I took someone else's creation but with credits of course. I guess I'll be using this skin for quite some time. Not that I won't go look for more beautiful ones but the moment, I really adore this skin. So, bear with the pink colour ok XD. I bet you all noticed that I revert back to my old cbox. Fyi, it's only temporary cuz my flashbox ain't working properly the other day. It's up & running now so go on & spam it. You have my permission~ XD Just keep it alive, that's all I ask from all of you.

College officially started yesterday but nothing much happened, really. Btw, this is a short semester so I suppose I have to work a little harder than usual to cope with 2 lengthy subjects. *sighs* I never like short semester due to the enormous amount of stress. I love the long breaks though. My first trip to the library for this semester had resulted in me borrowing a novel to read. Yup, I got myself Memoirs of a Geisha to read since I'm rather bored of facing the computer every day. Besides, I'm curious how much the movie differed from the book. Seems like I missed out a lot of details from the book when I watched the movie.

Remember the book Confessions of a Shopaholic that I mentioned about a month ago? Honestly, I never had the chance to finish it due to assignments. So, I'm determined to borrow it again & continue where I stop. Lets just hope that I finish these 2 books in time before my assignments keep flowing in. I heard the first assignment will be uploaded by this week -_-". Argh!

Friday, August 31, 2007

I went to college yesterday to enrol for the upcoming semester. To my delight, I passed all my subjects *happy*. I thought I could've failed at least one subject as I knew very well that how badly I did for the some of the papers. Hmm, maybe it wasn't bad enough to fail. I'll be completing the last two subjects for Year 2 before I enter my final year in January. *sighs* Time flies ne~

Met one of my classmates there & chatted with him quite a bit. And we even brought up the topic on the controversial Negaraku...ku music video on YouTube as well as our final year subjects. Since this will be our very last semeser for Year 2, we thought that now it's a good time to start thinking of the subjects to choose for next year. He asked whether I'm considering to take up dissertation. In fact, I've been thinking about this for the past few months since 2nd semester. I believe I'm fit for this subject considering my pretty good grades for assignments.

But then again, do I have what it takes to take up this subject? Maybe not. I guess it's just me being over-confident that this subject is an easy alternative for me to obtain an A grade. My bad. Gosh~ I can't believe that I'm bound to complete my tertiary studies by end of next year. Come to think of it, I'm still not prepared at all to enter the working world at all. Not to mention the fact that I'm already an adult. *cringes*

*deep sigh* Anyways, I'm definitely not in a good financial position right now after spending so much on a brand new hard disk. I had to cuz my old one died... T.T I have to think twice before ordering my Dong Bang stuff *sobs* I need to get a job asap. Btw, this will be the last time you view this blog skin as I will be changing to a new one most likely on Sunday. This skin is old though I really like it very much & hesitant about parting with it. But there should be a change to indicate a fresh start. Also, I kinda bored with the skin after using it for months. Look forward to the new skin, peeps!

Fangirling: Oguri Shun

Monday, August 27, 2007

After watching 花より男子, I've been crazy over this guy called 小栗旬 (Oguri Shun) taking on the role as 花沢類 who is part of the F4 group in the drama. I only got to know him while watching 花ざかりの君たちへ & even complained about how this guy couldn't match up to Wu Zun's looks for the Taiwan version (though this fella acts better than pretty boy Wu Zun). Indeed I was wrong! He looked incredibly good (just like Prince Charming) in 花より男子 & that's where he got really famous. He also appeared in GTO many years ago but I wasn't too keen on watch that drama cuz it was kinda perverted.

Anyways, I've made screencaps from 2 different dramas he appeared in just to make a comparison. How can a girl not fall in love with Prince Charming in shining armor? (pics below featuring Oguri Shun as Hanazawa Rui in Hana Yori Dango 1 & 2)

His latest drama, still airing in Japan showcased him as Sano Izumi in Hanazakari no kimitachi he. I present you, Oguri Shun who had turned slightly tanned & lost so much weight till he looked kinda old (sad T.T).

Sunday, August 26, 2007

I had been so occupied this whole week till I couldn't bring myself to post some updates. Hmm, I might as well summarise the eventful week for your easy reading. It all started last week...

Last Saturday
Mum set for Ipoh without me knowing at all while I was sitting for the last exam paper. Grandpa was hospitalised after complaining about pain at the right side of the crotch area. He was diagnosed with hernia. Surgery was scheduled on Monday, 9am.

Last Sunday
Sent my desktop PC for repair. My 5 year old 80GB hard disk died for good & I was hoping my data could be recovered. I couldn't be bothered if the hard disk is repairable cuz all I need is my mp3 collections. My hopes were dashed when the hard disk turned out to physically damaged. Bought a 160GB at RM210 & slowly build up my collection again -_-.

Monday
Became a chauffeur for a couple of days, fetching grandma to & from the hospital. Grandpa's surgery went well as expected. Nothing major. Was entirely addicted to 花より男子 & trying to hard to finish both Season 1 & 2.

Tuesday
Fetched grandma to the hospital again. Did some household chores at home. I haven't been ironing clothes since ages but I still can do it pretty well ^^. Continue with my hanadan (花より男子) fever & at the same time downloading プロポーズ大作戦.

Wednesday
Grandpa was dispatched from the hospital. He is healthy but just a little tired. Hospital bill turned out to be...do I need to say it? Hanadan fever continues. It took me several days to complete 2 seasons. Phew!

Thursday
The instant water heater in the bathroom next to my room hadn't been working for the past 2 weeks. I endured the lack of hot water by bathing in icy cold water instead. It wasn't that bad, after all & I'm starting to get the hang of it. Felt really refreshing after a cold bath XD.

Friday
Was watching 花ざかりの君たちへ Episode 7, I think. Couldn't really remember but I know I did something. Erm, I slept too o_O *shrugs*. Oohhh~ I just remembered. I went to the bank cuz I need to bank in some money to my credit card. Aiya, I wanna buy something online. What else?

Saturday
Only found in the morning that I had mouth infection after looking at myself in the mirror. Chicken pox-like pimples sprouted on the bottom right of my lips. It looked awfully bad & it kinda resembles the HFM disease. TOUCH WOOD! Had a really bad flu throughout the day & I couldn't bring myself to accompany my sis while she was busy with her art competition. And then I slept almost the whole day.

Sunday
Went to the bank pay up Dad's bills & did some minor cleaning up in my room. Though my table didn't look any better...-_-. I'm eager to watch The Da Vinci Code tonight though I already saw the premiere last year & had a plentiful of complaints about how sucky the movie was. I'd probably expected too much since the book turned out to be superb.

Sunday, August 19, 2007

ただいま!もう終わりちゃった~ ^^ Exams are finally over. I'm FREE...*squee* Don't even start asking about how the papers turned out to be. It's just...kinda bad, I guess. Best paper I did out of the four so far was Retail Marketing. I supposed I really put much effort in it, not to mention the paper being easier than I expected. *shrugs* Oh well, what's done is done. Can't possibly turn back time, right?

I'm back to being a drama addict again lately D-Addicts forum. I still recall those days during 2001 that I always made it a point to catch up with all the Japanese dramas aired on TV3. And then I would start fangirling with my best friend in school. Ah...those were the days when I was head-over-heels in love with 滝沢秀明. And I bought almost every single drama that he starred in despite the poor subs & video quality. At the moment, I'm hooked on to 花より男子 & 花ざかりの君たちへ cuz there's this cute actor named 小栗旬. Call me lame for only watching 花より男子 now since this is a 2005 drama. You see, I was put off by the Taiwanese version of the same title cuz of the hopeless acting skills. And so I thought the Japanese one wouldn't fare any better either. I was wrong -_-". That's why, never judge a book by its cover.

Anyways, Grandpa was admitted to hospital yesterday due to hernia. If the word sounds alien to you, just look up Wiki & you'll understand better than I try to explain here. Basically it's somewhat related to male's testicles & my grandpa needed surgery to remove some skin; that's what I was told. The surgery is pretty minor so there's nothing to worry about. But I'm glad that my exams are over as my grandpa don't have to chauffeur me around for 2 weeks. He can have all the time he needs to recuperate ^^. No biggie.

I suppose most of you are aware about this Malaysian Chinese dude studying in Taiwan actually made a fanvid using the national anthem as a theme song but modified to rap version. No matter how much I agree with him about the government & country's dirty secrets, I hope the video won't spark off racism riots just like the May 13 incident. Besides, I still have friends from diverse ethnicities whom I have no reason to go against them. Indeed the truth hurts but there's nothing we can do about it unless someone prominent would propose a change. It's a pity that all of us have to put up with government's fault...

The sleepless nights and endless presentation nightmares had finally came to an end. What a relief! But it's not over yet cuz exams are coming up in 2 weeks. I suppose the exam this time is tougher as we're given a long case study (yes, 20 pages...) to prepare before we bring it to the exam hall. The exam format goes like this...we're allowed to scribble anything on the case study & use it as a guideline to answer the questions. No other scribbled paper are allowed so we have to utilise whatever space we have on the case study paper for the necessary notes. I doubt you can fit the notes for the whole syllabus anyway.

I just bought a brand new LCD monitor several days ago. It's about time anyway cuz my old CRT is giving me problems (my sis uses the desktop more nowadays). At RM599, it's pretty darn good & the design is super sexy. I'm so proud to have one ^^.

Tadaa! The new, sexy Samsung SyncMaster 732N Plus

With a refresh rate of 5ms & contrast ratio of 2000:1

Look at the vivid colours & ultra high resolution at 1280 x 1024~ Are you green with envy now? XD Okay, okay...I'm not trying to be a show-off but erm, just telling you guys that this model is a good buy. It's not enough for gamers but moderate users like us would find it more than sufficient. Perhaps you guys might wanna try out this model when your old monitor dies.

P.S. I should be studying -_-"
